Unstinkingbelievable whilst lacking anything appropriate to describe this gift from the loving wife....
"It is my understanding that Mexico allows prisoners a conjugal visit on their birthday," Hudson said during a press conference on the Onslow County Courthouse steps Thursday. Cesar Laurean's birthday is Nov. 13, according to his marriage certificate. His wife, Christina Laurean took leave from Camp Lejeune on Monday and is not expected to return until Nov. 17. barf

I wonder how tickled the DA and Captain Sutherland are with this news? I still say Christina had a hand in the demise of Maria. What a disgusting revelation. They really should try to keep this crap under lock and key as I'm sure it's offensive to her family as they wait for a trial.
STILL seeking justice for Maria and her unborn child. :rose:

I am beyond  Jewel. That is so unbelievable after the way the good Captain and DA have made Christina out to be such a victim. VICTIM MY FOOT, try accomplice or perp IMHOO. :cuss:
She is no better than him and I hope that little girl is still with her grandparents if this is the kind of discretion her mother uses.
JMO tho.

Im hoping they get mad enough to charge her with something. I placed this in open court so that everyone would know to come to this thread. I hope that was ok.

How 'bout this link I saw today while at work ...
The prison where Cesar Laurean is being kept does permit conjugal visits, for a $10 a night charge. (http://www.witn.com/home/headlines/34025414.html)

If the prison allows conjugal visits for 10 bucks a night then I am sure Christina may not be his first visitor ..if you get my drift.
I think it could be a good thing for her to go if she is seeking the truth (as if she doesn't know it already).
Or maybe she is lacking and needs to finally accept that her husband killed someone he said he loved and buried her and his unborn child. If that is really what went down.
gimme a break!
It would have taken me all of two minutes to decide he was non existant to me and I would have pretended to love him until he was long gone. My name would have been changed and so would my child's.
This girl needs some serious help. Hope she gets it, or whatever is coming to her.

The only thing she should have given him for his birthday was a divorce.
This is just sick. What happens if she doesn't return?

Remember, she's but a victim in all this horror...right?????
Dewey Hudson looks as though he is having a hard time selling her off as the poor young woman with a diary....IFKWIM.
I'll bet they are really in a pickle now, huh?

I'm just appalled. :flamemad: Unless she had something to do with Maria's death why on earth is she still "standing by her man", let alone going to visit him in Mexico for a conjugal visit on his birthday?

Maybe she's gone down there to tell him, face-to-face, that she is testifying against him and he should start limbering up to kiss his a$$ goodbye.
Maybe she's gone down there to tell him she only covered his a$$ for him to flee the country because she was afraid for her life and the life of her child.
No?
Well one can hope. Hoping has never done me a lot of good, but one still has to hope -- right?

I wish but really I don't think so. I don't think she would need conjugal visits to do all that, do you?
Hudson looked awfully worried during the PC. I guess he knows if she goes down there for 10-12 days to visit him CL is probably going to decided that she has to keep her mouth shut and wont let her testify against him.
Hudson may see that chance disappearing before his very eyes.

I agree ~ it seems obvious she won't be 'cooperating' as he would've hoped and it just reconfirms in my mind she knew all along what was going on in the backyard. MOO

first of all, she really sold dewey and rick out by making the trip. second, the only way she wouldn't be permanently repulsed by his actions is if she was in on it. third of all, HI EVERYONE!

Well hi there, Sun!
I knew they were making a grave mistake when they tried to boost this woman's credibility up and how they twisted the facts.
Like she had cooperated when we know she hadn't done so and had been in contact with him for months stealthily. She got busted out when the FBI did the raid and seized the computer........then! of course.......she cooperated. Who wouldn't? But now she is right back seeing her honey pie and she didn't just go there for one day either.

IIRC, there were a lot of us posters who saw through Christina's "victim and cooperating witness" title, given to her by Hudson himself.
Too bad the Pros has wasted so much trust, time, money, and effort on Christina.
All JMO of course.

so what's next Christina?
Are you buying a house in Mexico?
Are you going to look for a job in Mexico?
IMO these are all your plans... you are the one who searched in the computer about Mexico--- if your husband slauthered Maria in your house - where did you get all the nerves to support him and even waste money to visit him on his bday?

Sad how some women do that, isn't it? "MY killer right, or wrong". hammer Sounds like an old movie title, doesn't it? Maybe she is planning a book to be made into a movie. I think she wanted the victim(s) out of her way as much as he did. They was going to ruin her marriage.
Yes, she sure did have just as much reason for Maria and her unborn baby to be dead as he did. MOO

Hi GB! :seeya: I so agree and was hoping that Hudson was right, but now I fear she might be a really big problem for him prosecuting Laurean. I also think he might have been a bit naive about her being a cooperating witness. It sure seems now that she's still in love with Laurean and I can't see her testifying against him ~ if and when he's ever brought to trial. MOO Another question I have now though is where is their daughter? Did she take her to Mexico too?

Hey there Ocean!
LK is reporting that she "has returned to Camp Lejeune from her visit to see her husband".
I'm afraid for all the propping that good ole Dewey has done for his prima donna is gonna make him have egg all over his face in the end.
I wasn't in town when all this went down but DH told me as soon as he could and I was beyond sick and appalled. I just couldn't believe that she was allowed to go. So she loves him but it's all disgusting to me since she's made no comment that she's sorry for Maria's loss and I wonder if that's because she's the true perp?
There's no rhyme or reason whatsoever in the whole thing---wonder if this was a trip to get their stories straight?
Oh and here's Mary's take via a Vandalia, OH article on this: http://www.tcnewsnet.com/main.asp?SectionID=6&SubSectionID=6&ArticleID=149253&TM=61966.18

Well hi there, sweet lady, LTNS! :seeya:
I can understand Mary's resentment toward Christina going but really they had no reason to keep her from going.
She hasn't been charged with any crime and she is allowed leave time.
I think Dewey built this woman up and she is going to let him take the fall. I just don't see her cozying up with her hubby poo for days on end in Mexico and then testifying against him.

I don't see any reason why the police should be upset with Christina going to Mexico to see Cesar. Christina has not been charged with any crimes. She can come and go as she pleases. Cesar is still her husband.
She could be working "undercover" to get more information for the police on how and why he killed Maria.

"A potential witness in the 2007 bludgeoning death of a pregnant Marine has flown to Mexico for what could be a conjugal visit with the main suspect in the case, prosecutors said."
_______________________________________
There is no proof there was a conjugal visit. The statement says "what could be a conjugal visit". Even if there was, they could have talked all night. There is no way to prove the conjugal visit occurred.
I still see no reason Christina should not have gone to visit her husband.
