This is hard. I go off and watch the Nascar practice: Junior's car blows a tire and practically blows up and creams Gililand and Tony too somewhat. I run back here refresh - nothing yet. Run back: Its OK, the guys are OK - getting the back-up cars out of the haulers: time to run back here. pant pant
At least you're getting some exercise...lol
I'm just sitting here flipping around to different websites trying to amuse myself as I wait.
Galanter reminded the jury of a surreptitious recording of police investigators in the hotel room after the incident. "They're making jokes. They're saying things like, 'We're gonna get him,'" he said. This from th KC Star newspaper. Who recorded this, anyone know?
That was Riccio's recorder on the armoire. It hadn't been found yet.

I need to get my laptop back from my granddaughter and get wirless so I can take it into the den or bedroom: I can read, watch tv and hit refresh.
I get my internet thru Charter cable - can I go wirless without any extra cost? I remember when I had it with Bellsouth DSL I paid extra for wireless, I think. Anyone know?
I have a laptop with a Verizon airless/internet card built in & when I activated it is $60 / month. But it might depend on your area & choices. I have to have VZ because of my coverage area...

Last I heard from don/minnie they posted as twoforone, both using the same nick.
You remember "and beat the goes on", that brought back memories.
I don't think OJ will ever just fade away, if this is a guilty, it will be tied up in appeal for years. But it would be nice. He also is harmful to other humans. IMO

In another hour give or take, they will have deliberated 13 hours, so if Vinnie's theory is right, then they could reach a verdict.
His theory the jury deliberates 1 hour for each day.

Apparently I'm in the boonies -15 minutes outside downtown Birmingham! LOL At&T doesn't have DSL here, Charter doesn't have phone. Could get the "for life" bundle At&T was offering. But free wireless - that make me happy! :D
It's only free wireless if you already have inet access coming to your house. If you have a desktop computer, a wireless router can feed your laptop.

ITs about 8:35 there now. They have to give notice to everyone if they have a verdict (someone posted earlier today notice would be 2 hours) If they came to a verdict would they still give it tonight? Lets say they give notice at 9 - would they gather at 11pm? I wonder what time they lock up the courthouse?
I have NO idea how long they can deliberate but if they really are still there, it's been over 12 hours. Talk about stamina. I think I'm going to say good night now. East coast viewer here & it's almost midnight...
Have a nice night all. Maybe they'll continue tomorrow or Monday. But for those of you who hang in there tonight & DO get a verdict, you will certainly be able to give the rest of us the Big scoop! :)

Lawyers arrive while O.J. jury deliberates into evening in Las Vegas
Associated Press - October 3, 2008 11:15 PM ET
LAS VEGAS (AP) - Defense lawyers have arrived at a Las Vegas courthouse where jurors in the O.J. Simpson case were working late to decide the fate of the former football star.
With no verdict reached after an 11th straight hour of deliberations, lawyers for Simpson and co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart arrived at the downtown Las Vegas courthouse about 7:30 p.m.
Simpson lawyer Yale Galanter says they weren't there to meet with the judge, but just wanted a change of scenery after spending all day at a nearby law office.
Court spokesman Michael Sommermeyer says there's no indication how late the jury of 9 women and three men intend to work.

Someone at another message board postd this that they found on a Las Vegas news page.
The jury in the O.J. Simpson case worked into the night Friday deliberating the fate of the former football star and a co-defendant accused of robbing two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint in a casino hotel room.
With no verdict reached after an 11th hour, lawyers for both defendants arrived at the courthouse about 7:30 p.m. They didn't meet with the judge.
"They didn't tell us there's a verdict," said Galanter, who said the defense teams spent the day a nearby law office. "It's late. We just came over to try to figure out scheduling."
Earlier jurors had dinner delivered to them so they could continue their deliberations.
"They have requested to continue deliberating tonight," court spokesman Michael Sommermeyer said about 5:30 p.m., "and we are bringing in dinner to them."

Yes that has happened in some trials I've read about or seen documentaries about. It does happen sometimes. I think it's up to the judge. If the jury reaches a verdict they pretty much read it no matter what time it is. There have been verdicts in history returned during the night and wee small hours.
Mostly it seems as if the jury wants to continue, the judge ordinarily lets them. The goal is a verdict.

You're very funny! Its hard to believe as your posts go on that you dropped in here earlier out of the blue like the wicked witch of the west. Welcome.:D
I really did not just drop in out of the blue, I have been here for a real long time.
I have just lurked on this board most of the time, might have made a post or two.
I made a point about someone posting wrong info, and it was taken as a mean thing which it wasn't,and was never meant to be. it is all over for me but if you wish to keep it going that I suppose is your choice.
But people have a right to their opinion and if you want to believe I am the wicked witch so be it.

On jury deliberations/verdicts:
I'll never forget the David Westerfield trial out of San Diego, CA where the jury took 8 days to reach a verdict. Many people thought they had had problems reaching a verdict. They later said no they were merely going over the evidence.
When you're waiting for a verdict 8 days can seem like a very long time.
There's a lot of information for them to go over if they do their duty properly. I'm going to pray for them to come to the right conclusion so that justice may be exercised.

Coincidence that 13 years ago today the Los Angeles jury found OJ not guilty of double homicide of his ex-wife and Ron Goldman.
Ironically they found their bodies on June 13, 1994.
Wonder where the number 13 will pop up in OJ's life in the future? Wonder if they're wagering on that prospect in Vegas? They bet on just about anything and everything.

Evening everyone. I have got to ask this question, so please, please don't all gang up on me at once, ok....
Can anyone in here say that you didn't have an opinion about OJ prior to the trial? I couldn't. Regardless of the verdict as to whether I agreed or disagreed, the Jury made their decision in that case in 95. Case closed....
Now, based on the evidence that the State put in front of the jury, could you (as a juror) find him guilty of the incident that took place in Vegas without being biased? Could you find OJ and CJ guilty on these charges? IMO to charge these 2 guys w/ the hope of getting them life sentences just doesn't sit right with me. How do they justify letting so many of the "crew" to walk, with midemeanors, yet pushing for life sentences of only 2 defendants. I think a big problem for prosecution is that they can't see punishing 1 or 2, but let the rest walk w/ their 15 minutes of fame, book deals, etc.? :patriot:
I hope that I haven't offended anyone, and if I have, I apologize.
Does anyone have a link to watch this? TYIA

Morning Kimberlee - since I wasn't a part of the earlier cases OJ was in, I am certainly not biased. I've heard bits and pieces but never saw the trial since I worked whenever it was on and had too many irons in the fire back then.
Anyhow, I've watched this trial from (I thought it was the beginning) Aug (I think). I couldn't judge from a jurors point of view. I researched several of the men and know their backgrounds, and I would have found them all guilty. Well, probably not Cashmore (or at least he'd have had a much lighter sentence, if any).
However, to answer your question - I would have had no opinion of OJ prior to this event.

You didn't offend me, and, now that I have heard both sides, I would have no problem voting "Guilty", based on what was presented in this trial, and not letting the past carry any weight.
As for letting the others walk, they didn't. The only person who received complete immunity was Ricco (someone, correct me if I am wrong). The rest of the entourage will receive some type of sentence from Judge J. Glass, anywhere from probation to jail time, to be determined by Judge Glass.
Deals are made all the time, to ensure better odds (how convenient the trial is in Vegas) at getting a guilty verdict for the ringleaders, or for the top trouble maker. In this case, OJ.
OJ was the ringleader/bully. He requested that guns be brought, and to look menacing when going into the room, or in other words, to intimidate. And, the biggie, it was OJ's voice heard in the room "Nobody leaves this room".
As I said, based on the evidence brought out at this trial, I hope the jury finds them Guilty!

Wow - I was at a family get together, just got back minutes ago - in time to hear a request from each lawyer for bail until sentencing denied and see the handcuffs locked on.
Tons of evidence, 3 times what would be required to find any defendant guilty - and apparently the jury was clean.

It is a sad day when a man of OJ's incredible talent has come to this. Karma I guess. I can't say that I am happy but Lady Justice has spoken. Johnny Cochrane just rolled over in his grave.

Wow! It's hard to believe that 13 year's to the day that they finally get him. I didn't follow this trial at all. I guess it just wasn't very interesting to me unlike the first one for obvious reason’s but anyway he’s about to do some serious time according to Fox. They just said on Fox that the mandatory of the two kidnapping charges was 15 year's apiece not counting the rest of the counts. It's so sad OJ how far you've fallen but you have to feel for the Goldman's and Brown's tonight.

I just heard that on Fox! Great news. I was afraid that there might have been some OJ fans on the jury.
