sorry to be graphic
but does anyone know how long the body would let off these gases that the dogs hit on
i mean, if the body has decomposed...
and let's say nothing but skeletonal remains are left...
could they still hit on that
News media reported Cadaver dogs hit on the area where Fossett's remains/belongings were found. Though all authorities found was a small piece of bone.

Hello everyone. I ususally don't post, just lurk and read. I am probably one of the few that didn't watch the Veep debate last night, can't stand to hear SP talk.
NG did say last night that there was a woman who came forward on or about Sept. 4th saying that she saw a car like CA's on the south side of the Orlando Airport parked in the median. She remember this because she thought it was her friends car and until she got close enough to see some bumper stickers she new her friends white Pontaic did not have. When she got past the car she looked in her rear view mirror and saw a small framed woman with a white baseball camp emerging from a heavily wooded area. She didn't put this together with this case until a few weeks after Caylee was reported missing.
I am trying to paraphrase what I heard. Sorry if I've not done a very good job, but you can check the NG transcripts to read about it.

In this country, majority rules. Posters here have put all the details together, used their common sense and logic, and have formed conclusions.
Granted, the posters are more knowledgeable than the ultimate jury, which will consist of ordinary citizens, using the common sense, logic, and life experience they hold in their everyday life. I don't think the future jury will cut any slack to that odious creature. The facts will assure that.
The biggest fact that will convict Casey will be that she did nothing when her daughter went missing, but instead partied and made plans for the future. The evidence that Caylee is deceased is in that car. imo
you said it in a nut shell.. Good post ITA

From the link:
Thursday, Casey's attorney said it's not in her best interest to tell what she knows about where Caylee is.
"It does her no good to show her cards to give the prosecution any advantage they have to put her away for life," Jose Baez said.
Judging by what he said, it would seem that Casey would get herself into trouble by telling what she knows about Caylee's whereabouts.
I would like to hear everyone's opinion on this...By the statement above from JB, can we assume he knows what Casey did to Caylee? His statement leads me to believe she harmed her. Why would she be in trouble if the nanny took her (which we all know is a crock)?
Wonder what tips they got to go back and search the two places again?
I know you guys have probally already hit on this. I have been so out of the loop the last couple of days ..forgive me.:seeya:

When people talk about Caylee’s death being an accident, and "Casey panicked," I usually insist the record shows that Casey does not panic.
She sat in the room at Universal with police detectives, lying away, calmly as can be. And, I don't think she is panicking now, either. She's playing a game of chicken with LE, and she ain't gonna flinch. She gave herself that 31 head-start, and poor Caylee's little body is probably gone. She's planning on getting away scot-free, and I believe she is going to be sadly mistaken.
As a matter of fact, I am getting a psychic vision. I can hear a news commentator saying, "Casey Anthony showed no emotion as the jury found her guilty of murder...."
You have made some EXCELLENT points here. Many are reading into the facts with "accident" and "panic" where there is absolutely(to use that favorite of words) nothing to suggest that those things occurred. Casey has not even once eluded to either of those things taking place. I pray your right about her not getting away with it! Of course all of this is JMO!

I just can't wrap my mind around how they can be in the same house with her. I mean, if they know Caylee is gone and they're protecting Casey...which is appears that's what is going on. HOW? HOW? HOW? All I'd be doing is imagining what poor little Caylee may have went thru and how I'd never see her again. I think I'd break and just say "Take Her To JAIL!!!!" I don't think I'd be able to look at her each day. Watch her go on as if everything's fine. Knowing she was able to live her life as if she never had a daughter for an entire month. How does one do that?hammer
Could it be guilt of knowing something was wrong with Casey for a long time and never doing anything about it. (this "stuttered-like" typing is going to drive me nuts)

I agree Barskin...I can hear it in my mind as well. Actually it's interesting to me that I can take Scott Peterson out of my mind and put Casey Anthony in his place, something about the internal denial of true consequences let alone personal accountability...or never let 'em see you sweat?
I'm with you...this gal doesn't panic, she has had lots of practice in the lying sector...it has worked on the multitude of 'friends' she has run through...and of course her parents. This may be one of the worst cases of enabling that I have ever seen....
Just my opinion of course...

I cant ever read all the posts but did yer kitty come home? I hope so! :seeya:
I dont think we will see an arrest yet; Grand Jury has to indict first; so I dont think there will be any movement today. Unless they find this poor childs body. I'm really glad to hear they are still looking; but they need to tear apart the Anthony home. Im still a little ashamed, they didnt.
They tore up the yard, but we never saw them search the inside of that house. Usually homeowners are asked to leave for a few days while LE does it's thing. This did not occur in this case. It bothers me so much.
Caylee is "close" dad. She's close. How close? Are her little bones in the house? Was she cremated using gasoline? Who knows but all are viable options to me.

Based on the circumstantial evidence, and what little forensics we have, she could be looking at the chair, if she is found guilty, it was obviously premeditated. Computer searches, no remorse, etc. IMVHO, she is looking at death row. Some body needs to get off their arse and keep her off death row. (Even though I think that's where she needs to be.)
I don't agree it was "obviously" premeditated. Not one bit. Yet, anyway. I need far more detailed information, which we probably won't get until trial.

Good morning everyone. Congratulations on your good news, Warrkat.
bluwaters, your post says it all. I don't believe it is necessarily the job of a defense attorney to see that a guilty client gets away with the crime, but to give them the best defense they can possibly have.
Casey Anthony is one twisted individual. When people say "she loved Caylee" I just cringe. If she loved her, she wouldn't have dragged her from pillar to post while she slept with different guys and partied hearty. She would have left her home with her mother, given her custody and just gone on.
Love is unselfish, and love for your children means you sacrifice, you give up your dreams in exchange for making sure they attain theirs.
With that said, I hope justice is served in the best interest of Caylee, not her trashy former incubator.

I would guess that by now the cadaver dogs won't find much left of little Caylee. Scavengers, etc. have strewn her remains everywhere. But, if they find one single bone, could it be determined it's Caylee? I think not.
Casey needs to come clean or else she's looking at the "chair". JMVHO.
From what I have learned about cadaver dogs, they can pick up on the smell of 'death' even from bones. Unfortunately you may be right in that 'scavengers' have strewn the bones about (my GOD even saying that just breaks my heart!), but if there's a bone to be found and the dogs find it, they could probably tell whether it's human or animal. Then LE would determine dna. I think.

Ok here's the transcript from NG's show last night:
GRACE: So much happening in the search for little Caylee. Right now, to Kathi Belich with CNN affiliate WFTV. Kathi, what can you tell me about an alleged sighting of a woman with a baseball cap pulled down over her head leaving a heavily wooded area near the Orlando International Airport?
KATHI BELICH, WFTV: Well, what we know is the woman was leaving work sometime between June 20th and June 28th near the Orlando airport, and she said she noticed a car that was like Casey`s, she later realized, that belonged -- she thought it belonged to a friend of hers, which is why it caught her attention. When she got closer to it, she saw some markings and some bumper stickers that she knew were not on her friend`s car, so she was relieved her friend wasn`t in trouble.
But as she drove away, she noticed someone slight of build with a baseball cap and some athletic-type wear walking out of the woods, and she thought it was odd because it`s not an area, she said, where anyone would be jogging or anything like that. Of course, that was before Caylee had been reported missing. After Caylee had been reported missing, she saw the car on the news and she saw Casey on the news, and she put two and two together and thought maybe that was Casey. So she told investigators about it, and they have searched that area.
GRACE: Kathi Belich, precisely, to the best you can tell us, where is the area?
BELICH: It is to the south of Orlando International Airport. It`s sort of a secluded road. Once again, not the same secluded road where they have searched in the past that we`ve already reported on. But it is sort of a secluded road. Even during the day when we were there, which is when this woman believed she saw possibly Casey, there was not a lot of traffic on that road.
GRACE: So let me get this straight, Kathi Belich, because the timing of her sighting is very, very important. We all know that as soon as little Caylee was reported missing, the next day, essentially, mom, Casey, went to jail. She was in jail for a period of time. So was the sighting reported after Caylee went missing, but she saw the incident before?
BELICH: Well, this was in the time before any of us even knew that Caylee was missing.
GRACE: Gotcha.
BELICH: So it was during the week after Caylee had disappeared, and obviously, you know, that was during the month before we knew and Casey...
GRACE: Got it. Got it. An incredible story, if it`s true, if there`s no mistake. What do you make of it, Mike Brooks?
MIKE BROOKS, FORMER D.C. POLICE, CNN LAW ENFORCEMENT ANALYST: One of the things they can do, since they do have a timeframe between the 20th and 28th of June, they can go back, check her cell phone records and see if there`s any pings in that particular area if she had her phone on.

No I don't think you do get it, if she plea bargains there still could and probably will be a trial.
She would appear before the judge (no jury) and he/she will ask her if she understands she has a right to a trial by a jury of her peers and if she understands she is giving up that right by pleading whatever it is she wants to plead.
This is, of course, assuming the state wishes to accept the plea.
She may then face a sentencing hearing (possibly with a jury) where mitigating/aggravating factors may be presented to determine whether she should get minimum or maximum punishment.
Unless, of course, the sentence is agreed upon at the plea acceptance.

So then if she is alive and they know who she is with why not go get her? Give the information to LE and let them go get her. If the statment "they would rather have Caylee than the money" is true than that is why I believe she is dead, they would have her right now if she were still on this earth. Since she is not with us, they are going to go for the money because quite frankly they are probably going to need it to pay the lawyer(s).

Let me give you an instance of cadaver dogs searching for a deceased person. That of Chandra Levy right here in Rock Creek Park in D.C. She went missing and they searched that park initially with cadaver dogs, but finally gave up. Eventually, another jogger or someone walking through the park, can't remember which, found a bone one and a half years later. Those remains were then determined to be Chandra. So the cadaver dogs can't hit on the scent when there is no more scent.
Rock Creek Park isn't that big I guess is my point.

What did she do to Caylee?
Well at the very least, she exposed her to dangerous situations, she obviously didn't provide normal care that I would provide for my dog or cat.
She (if she is to be believed) left her with a woman who frequented bars with her, frequently changed cell phone providers and had no working number, lived in a vacant apartment, yada yada yada.
It's my belief that she got rid of her daughter, whether by negligence or intention.
As for Cindy, I believe she loved Caylee, I really do. However, I can't for the life of me understand how she can say that it wasn't important to know the woman who was supposedly being a "nanny" to your precious granddaughter.
Maybe it's just me, but I would have had numbers, addresses, next of kin, and would have known exactly who this "nanny" was.
I wouldn't even let my pets be "babysat" by someone I couldn't even reach by phone. I can't believe that anybody who is honest with themselves would say that they can believe Cindy would either.
It absolutely boggles my mind.

I can't imagine Casey parking in the median and carrying or dragging Caylee's body across the road (2 lanes ?) to the woods. Thank you for the tip. Can't imagine their reaction when Casey is proven guilty for murdering her beautiful daughter.
in my opinion of course
Yeah it generally goes like this with some posters... Let's call one... oh I'll just pick a name out of the air
Papasgal ...
You say A
Papasgal says maaaaybe B (all hinty like)
You ask what makes Papasgal think that and request a link
Papasgal goes silent.
Someone requests link again or a less vague answer and Papasgal and cohort tell you you are stupid, probably don't have a job, and comment on how much they resent the opinions expressed by other members of the board.
Then one of them comments on how hate filled everyone is and how persecuted they are here and then they disappear for a while only to come back like a bad egg smell later...
That's how it works around here and it's the same EVERYTIME...
It's best NEVER to respond to them. Just enjoy all the many opinions with those who treat each other with respect. There are many Cindy supporters who carry themselves well and are respected and enjoyed by other members of the board. :hat::hat:

IMO he meant it does Casey no good to talk as anything she says can and will be twisted and used against her.
Casey has said over and over she does not know where Caylee is.
With all do respect Grandma when Casey was first confronted with her lies she actually said that Caylee was 'fine' and she did indeed know where she is/was. And then she changed her story...and then she changed her story again...
I'm not much of a believer in the Gospel According To Casey...and that is because of Casey herself. Now...if she had have been honest and was forth coming about the truth in the beginning...and then went silent because she might incriminate herself that would be different for me...But putting her own hide above the welfare and well being of her own child? She has gone beyond the pale for me, I no longer consider her a (grieving) mother nor a 'victim' of anyone besides herself.
I now consider her a common criminal without conscience...let the chips fall where they may.
Just my opinion of course...

It'd be real interesting to see what kind of things this witness saw on the car she noticed.I'm not familiar with team icons in Florida but could the shamrock be for a sports team?
The ball cap that was torn up and put into the Anthony trash had a shamrock on it, as well. The ball cap was seen in pics, too.

Good question, but of course that doesn't apply here.
It only applies with hatred toward the Anthonys, because don'tchaknow, nothing like this could ever happen to anyone here. ;)
It's quite amusing to watch the things that people attach here as being synonymous. If you believe that Caylee is alive, you must somehow then of course believe that Casey is a truthful saint, and that the Anthonys walk on water.
That of course, goes against the unfounded hatred spewed here day in and day out for the Anthonys, so the next course of action is that you must be a family member. LOL
Or, be working for the defense, LOL.

LB has lost her job. Yesterday I was downsized along with a few others. This year has turned out just like 2005 to not be my year.
I wonder what has prompted these new searches. When did this driver who saw what could have been Casey come out of the woods wearing athletic gear and a baseball cap near the airport (also identified a car similar to the Pontiac Sunfire)? (this is per ABC Orlando)
Bitty, I am sorry to hear about your job. ok we will give you a new one here. Help us find Caylee and arrest Casey will you? Have you ever seen or heard of kidnappers running to tell the authorities, I did it, I did it?
that wasn't my point. my point is that they are not possibly criminal masterminds able to elude authorities at every turn. if casey and cindy are even to believed in the slightest, this was either a babysitter turned kidnapper or an exboyfriend turned kidnapper. not ninjas, not operatives, but plain old people. if the reason for casey not to spill what she knows is that caylee is in danger, she also must acknowledge that the kidnappers know that it's widely known that caylee is missing.
there are no kidnappers, imo.

Wait for the trial? That is what you always say. What about Caylee's rights? Why don't they come first? Caylee's rights cannot "wait for the trial." If you care about Caylee's rights, you would demand that Casey speak up and for the very first time tell what happened to Caylee.

Thanks for this post Aubrey! I think I might just print it out and tape it next to the tv the next time I watch NG and listen to the tapes of Casey and everybody else LE has interviewed. I get so frustrated and honestly AFRAID that she might get away with what she has done to Caylee. Again, thanks for the excellent post!
I have to admit after all the craziness in the Drew Peterson saga - I have gotten scared sometimes too. But I think Peterson's case was an anomaly - truly unique since he was part of the police force.. I don't want to o/t so I will stop with that comparison now.
I think the cops in Florida have a lot of circumstantial evidence against Casey - even if they don't find Caylee body (which makes my heart break thinking about it).. they will have enough to get her indicted. We just have to be patient and let the investigators do their job.
Arrests on murder charges rarely happen overnight.. but don't be scared.. she is going down.

But when does enough time elapse where we say, its almost unfathomable the body is found, sadly, shes been out there for a very long time. If the cops know for sure she is really really dead, at this point it shouldn't even matter now, its more than obvious Casey doesn't care. moo
I have friends that work with LE and are retired LE. They all work hard to uncover the truth. IMO, these type of cases are never over for them until a body is recovered.
As for an arrest, I think the day is getting closer because of LE's statements and JB's statements.

Thanks for the link shel. From that link:
Meanwhile, the Florida Department of Children and Families confirmed Thursday it has concluded its investigation related to Caylee's disappearance.
DCF spokeswoman Carrie Hoeppner said the agency's findings have been given to the Sheriff's Office, but she did not say what those findings were.
"The information obtained in the investigation does not meet the criteria for release at this time," she said in an e-mail.
DCF's role in the case remains "very limited," she said.
I wonder what that's about? I didn't realize there was a separate investigation going on.
I would think DCF would be involved in any situation involving a lost child.

I can't imagine Casey parking in the median and carrying or dragging Caylee's body across the road (2 lanes ?) to the woods.
Huh, well color me corrected! :) I guess from what I've read and heard over the years, I thought cadaver dogs could pick up scent from bones and/or areas surrounding the bones (say if fluids seeped into the ground). Very unfortunate if not. I hope the new info from the woman who thought she saw Casey and her car by the airport proves to be a fruitful search.

Arrested for murder? We aren't sure about that. There was a news report out about a week ago which stated that she could be arrested in the next few weeks..
Once she is arrested for murder, it could take years for her to get a trial date. Things move very slowly in the justice system, it seems.
She is supposed to go on trial soon for her "economic crimes" and "child neglect".. but since she is out on bail - I expect her attorney to try and postpone the trial date for as long as possible.

To determine the cause of death? Closure for all that love Caylee? To bring Caylee home for a proper burial and not leave her tiny little body in some swamp, dump, landfill or where ever?

What is sad is that even after the body is id'd (if indeed it is)some will still insist it is not Caylee and that LE is not doing their job properly.

And then there are contradictions in George and Cindy's statements to the press too. I believe it was Cindy who said Caylee was in danger at one point.. then said she was safe a different day.
Then George says they have people watching the kidnappers.. then Cindy says they don't know who the kidnappers are.
I am probably mixing all of these statements up. George and Cindy's statements have me just as confused as Casey's..
Basically they have been contradicting each other .. and themselves.

:hat::hat:
Babblefishie, you posted some things that were actually posted to me one night on the board. The poster at that time seemed to be in a rage. They were banned, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were back, under another name.

Having a body solidifies the fact and leaves no doubts whatsoever for any juror. The body can also hold clues as to how she was killed.
OBVIOUS reasons. IMO
Well, it will be hard to tell the COD if she is all bones or even only a FEW bones. Unless it is something like blunt force trauma or something (which I don't believe personally). I think that an OD on chloroform, or suffocation would be hard to prove at this point. However, I do not have a medical degree and am not a coroner... so I could be wrong

Have a question.... they say the culprit always goes back to the scene of the crime, or where they disposed of a body. Do we know if Casey went back anywhere based on her cell phone pings?
Maybe that was the sighting? She had returned to the scene of where she disposed of the body?
All searches based on cell phone pings have, to the best of my knowledge, been in the airport area.

Read this little tidbit embedded in the Orlando Sentinel article about Neives calling Casey a suspect...
DCF's role in the case in the case remains "very limited," she said

I'm not so sure they have "proof" Caylee is deceased. Good Lord! Okay, let me sort this out in my own mind....
Searches for Chloroform
Searches for Missing People
No Nanny
Prolific liar
Didn't report her child missing for 31 days
Didn't want Caylee in the first place
Chameleon type personality
Stole Zenaida Gonzales' name from the Saw Grass registry
Missing cell phone with the sim card also lost
Wakes up in a cold sweat
No remorse
Great motive...
Hasn't held a job in 2 years
Steals money
Steals gas
Cadaver dog hits in the back yard
Cadaver dog hits in the car
None of Caylee's close missing
Caylee's favorite doll not with Caylee
No purchases of anything for Caylee while she was "missing"
Didn't want George to open the trunk
Cindy tried to strangle her
Casey said "this should have been done a long time ago"
Casey said "maybe I'm just a spiteful bit**"
Fusion (what can I say about that)
Lying about Caylee's father
Telling Jesse he was the father
Leaving Pontiac at Amscot
Sneaking in to parents house without Caylee
Borrowing a shovel
What did I forget?
And, with this information (your list), could you really sit on the jury and find a person guilty of murder? Have you ever sat on a jury in a murder trial?

I really hope so, I am optimistic an arrest is about to be made, or a grand jury assembled. IF they have proof Caylee is dead, I think they should have told George and Cindy that there is no way she is alive, but act like you believe Casey while we gather stuff on Casey, maybe the cops have told them not to complain about her computer use and whatnot, seems to me that is more plausible with why the Anthonys are acting the way they are instead of going to the worst possible scenario they are knee deep in a coverup. moo
I kinda thought that at first but after watching & hearing the lastest interview with CA that pretty much threw that theory out the window.

Or maybe that wasn't her first visit there. Perhaps she was returning to the area to do more cover-up of the (and I hate to say this) body?

You know, I tried to put myself in the shoes of all the friends and family of Casey when all this first started and thought about how betrayed, puzzled, hurt, angry, sad and all those other feelings I'd have and how that would feel. But today I thought about what it would *really* feel like. In addition to the above feelings, how would you feel to have had the hands of (*IF* she did it disclaimer) a baby murderer, that secreted and possibly moved her body preparing your meals or touching you intimately with those evil hands. I don't think I could scrub long enough to feel I got all the Casey Anthony (if she did it) off of me. UGH.
I do feel bad for all of them...especially Tone..he was doing more than eating her dinners. He has to be sickened by all of this. I hope it doesn't affect his relationships for years to come but I bet it will. Sad.

My dog went missing when I was pretty young and my parents helped me figure out pretty much that he was stolen by the dog catcher who would not admit it. So I went over his head and his supervisors came 80 miles to our house to talk to me. It turned out to be the day President Reagan was shot and we all found out at the same time when it came on TV. They only wanted to watch it so I turned it off. I did not want any distractions. No way would I have sit there and lied and played games BECAUSE I just wanted him back. I got him back but it was like HE11 for a week......no sleeping.....no eating.....I had ONE thing on my mind and I was determined. I was just a kid but instinct and adrenaline took over.
I did all kinds of things like talk to the Trash Truck and School Bus drivers.....just whatever possible. NO ONE could of stopped me. I just do not see that DRIVE with the Anthonys. Adrenaline is a weird thing you feel like you cannot stop. I had EVERYONE out looking. Yet it seems the Anthonys gave up awhile back. Why? There are so many things they could be doing.....I know because I did it for my dog.
I did the same for my cat. lol
She got lost and when I got off work everyday, I would go through the projects, her last known location since she was staying with my husband at work after a vet appt.
I searched high and low, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, and didn't let my husband have an easy time of it either. All I could think about was my baby was out there somewhere scared and wanting to come home.
I finally found her and brought her home, she was hungry and mad for being lost for three weeks. I can't get my mind to understand how anyone can just know that their baby is out there somewhere and they just carry on, getting their nails done, getting tattoos, not calling police, etc.
It's just not natural instinct, and a mother has that. I have seen other mothers of missing children being skewered because of their passionate searches for their child.
I've never quite understood that one, finding fault with the mother doing everything to find her child, and defending the one who has done nothing to find hers.

Umm, Caylee is THREE, not two, and no, he didn't just admit that Casey knows where Caylee's dead body is.
Defense Attorneys are there to protect the rights of their client, just as you would need protection too, particularly true in this case when Baez believes that LE is only interested in prosecuting Casey for Caylee's disappearance and nothing more.
It's really amazing that so many here aren't familiar with the duty of Defense Attorneys.
Caylee never got to reach her third birthday, so she is forever a two year old.

So you think that Casey was portraying an Irish Nun?
I see.
Makes as much sense as your gang theory, there has not been one shread of evidence as to any gang involvement in this case. Every friend of hers has had a job, apartment and some are full time students that also work, we even have some with young children that work. Where are you seeing gangs at all?
And please keep the gangs of protesters out of this, they don't count.

That's why we have voir dire, and jury consultants. They CAN find an unbiased jury pool once this goes to trial. Heck, they found one for OJ and he was found "not guilty".
Not that many people are as consumed with this case as we are. They don't know any facts, haven't speculated or debated like we have. Haven't looked at cell phone pings or know Casey's past like we do.
They will be able to find an impartial group of 16 (I'm thinking 12 jurors and 4 alternates).
Dunnie, I don't think the O.J. jury can really be used as an example of "unbiased" LOL

What's a poser? Do you mean no soul? No feelings? No emotions except when she stubs her toe? She "feels" for herself (physical pain), but no one else. I think we can all agree she's a sociopath, but that has nothing to do with her upbringing. It's a chemical imbalance in her brain. Or maybe you're just born that way.... no soul. I don't know.
Well from my kids I have gleaned that a "poser" is one who pretends to be something they are not.
Someone wearing gang colors or maybe trying to be a little goth or whatever when they really are not.
Fake is what it really means.

I also think she was tampering with evidence, and she knew she was. A nurse knows the smell of decomp. And you are right, I would have thrown it out, not put it in with a normal load of clothes. Heck, she even said the car smelled like there was a dead body in it. Little did she know it was her own grand daughter.
I've said from day one she will be charged also.... with obstruction of justice. JMO. George knows it, and so does Lee. Charge all of them with obstruction. I mean, come on, your grand daughter is missing, and you clean up "evidence" and lie to LE.
I will be very surprised if they aren't charged, they have broken the law and this shouldn't be overlooked or go unpunished. The 3 of them have just added another layer of difficulty for LE in trying to resolve this sad case.

i respect your opionion, and i know i'm in the minority on this, but i just don't beleive she is mentally ill. if she were a sociopath, i believe she would have made an effort at appearing remorseful. she has shown to have emotion when it is something that fits in her agenda or affects her world. i simply believe she is so self-centered that she is just focusing on the fact that she accomplished her goal and got her way. no more caylee. and since mommy and daddy have bailed her out before, they will this time. she has no idea what it is to suffer the consequences of her actions. jmo

This was probably brought up already but..... just think how differently this case could be IF ONLY Simon Birch, who was the manager at the wrecking company where Caseys car was towed to, would have called the police immediately when he approached the car the first time and smelled that odor!!! The police could have been called then and who knows what else we would have as evidence about Casey!!
I know its irrelevant now but its just something I was thinking about!
Birch, Simon – Facility manager of the wrecking yard (Johnson’s Wrecker East) where Casey’s car was towed on June 30, 2008. After the car had been there a couple of weeks, he approached it and began to smell a foul odor. At the time, he did not pay further attention to the white Pontiac. On July 15, 2008, Birch was approached by Nicole Lett, who worked in the office, was dealing with two upset customers, George and Cindy Anthony. Cindy Anthony was trying to negotiate a discount for the towing fees; George agreed to pay the fees and provided the title and his driver license. As they walked, George Anthony mentioned that his daughter had been missing and that she would not allow him to see his granddaughter and has told several lies. When George opened the door of the car, a very foul odor came from inside. Mr. Birch recognized it as the same odor as had been in a car in which a man had committed suicide (his body had been in the car for about 5 days). When Mr. Birch said, “That’s rotten,” George did not reply. They opened the trunk in order to locate the source of the odor (flies flew out) and found a garbage bag, which Mr. Birch opened. Papers, a pizza box and maggots were in the bag. Mr. Birch threw the bag over a fence into the tow lot’s dumpster. George noticed the fuel gauge read empty and said he had a gas can in his car. He retrieved the gas can, apologized for his wife being upset, poured gas into the Pontiac and drove away.

Arrests on murder charges rarely happen overnight.. but don't be scared.. she is going down.ITA, aubrey. It's going to happen. She will go to trial, and she will be convicted.
She should get a new trial attorney, though. Baez's most recent statement does her harm, imo. This is not a poker game, and he is trivializing Caylee by this statement.

Why? No one is interested. One mention of the shamrock insignia and they all go off in childish rants about Lucky Charms.
You wonder why you continually ask and it's never answered, that's a good example, but yes, there is a LOT more to do with Caylee being alive than the Shamrock insignia which has shown up on Annie's hat, Casey's body, and Casey's car - and that's only for starters.
The only thing that is continually regurgitated here day in and day out is that Caylee is dead, Casey is a so and so and the Anthonys never loved Caylee.
That isn't "discussion", it's mindless repetition.
please elaborate. I didnt ask for a lecture on other posters, I asked a direct question. If I weren't interested I would not have asked.
So yes, someone is interested ... me. And I've politely asked several times for you to add to your comments.

Caylee is three if she is alive. If not, she is two. Until I see ANYTHING from that family that even hints that she might be alive, she will always be two to me.
Defense lawyers are there to protect the rights of their clients, however, in my opinion they also need to pursue truth and justice. Based on the truth, they need to preserve their clients rights to fair justice; not based on lies, smoke and mirrors.

Sociopathy is not a mental illness (it's a state of mind). Scott Peterson is a known sociopath, and he's sitting on death row. That's my point.
:seeya:
Wrong. Happiness is a state of mind. Optimism is a state of mind. Worry is a state of mind.
Sociopathy is both a real medical disorder and a bad personality trait at any level. Sociopathy is a loosely-defined term that may be used to refer to:
Psychopathy
Antisocial personality disorder
Dissocial personality disorder

Warning, warning, warning......
The post I am about to make has not been verified other than someone saying they heard it live on Channel 9.
Cadaver dogs have supposedly hit in an area by the airport.
We do not know if this is true and many times in the past, they haven't been.
It's Friday...... and maybe some good news for a change. (not that finding a body is happy news, but it would be easier to convict a killer if her body is found.)
edit: oh, craaaaaaap. LOL

We did a poll last night everyone except myself and Jennydots said in Oct.
I said Nov 7 after the election and Jenny said the week after.
We really should have a thread for this but I have no idea how to start one.
The BIG question is, will it be during NG? Thats always fun......LOLMy vote for Homicide charges is not very specific, but I think LE will push it up to the wire and wait until right when the Neglect charges are due to be in court. If I had to pick a date, I'd go with the 10th of November. I believe LE wants the remains for a stronger case, and possibly a stiffer charge.
If they cannot find Caylee by then, I think the DA will go ahead with Negligent Homicide charges ( possibly more, if they have some solid evidence we haven't seen yet that gives more proof of intent....like the chloroform search dates, TonE's testimony of the 16th of June, etc.).
I can't see the DA wanting to deal with the potential messiness of trying the neglect charge, and then trying Homicide w/o any overlap of information/action...that possible double jeopardy situation. Mind you, I think they CAN find Negligence AND homicide...the neglect can be proven by things that are not related to Caylee's death mattering on testimony from maybe Annie, or TonE...some of the things in the docs. already released suggest neglect/abuse. But even if they can prove them independant of each other, it will get costly and complicated...why bother if they can send her up for life on the homicide charge?
All just MY Opinion though.

Don't sweat it K, happens all the time, to good peeps like you, too.

If it were you, what would you do? I think that's why the Anthony's have another defense attorney sitting in the wings. They claim he is their attorney.... but maybe that guy is a back up.
Baez has done Casey no good. IMO. I don't think he has the experience to be a death row trial attorney. What happened to Walsh? I think he's still there.

No problem... The person who threw it out there can't give any info on it, so it is officially not part of this case anyway... Thanks for the warning! ;)

Hi Dunnie, I agree with you 100%.
This Anthony clan is beyond belief to me.
As far as Cindy goes regarding obstruction, she has not helped this case she just twists and turns in the wind with her theories. I don't ever remember this family looking for Caylee.
But to be charged with obstruction that's a giant leap for me. Not to say it won't happen.
I find it odd that all of a sudden a low profile from the family. What are they doing?
They are not working or maybe GA is, but heck Cindy is the bread winner in the family.
How are they paying the bills day to day?
They are not out looking for Caylee which is a shame.
I hope they pick Casey up today and let her sit in a cage and let her think about what she has done. Put her in with the other talent at the jail, heck give her a little taste of her own reality that she and she alone has created. IMO.

Supposedly it was the body hunters dog....ugh I'm sorry you all, these dogs have hit on animal remains before so don't get too worked up. The reporter said he smelled decomposition...he is standing 30 feet away. Not sure decomposition would still be able to be smelled at this point.
Please take this with a grain of salt.
Sorry, who is the body hunter? Is that part of LE?

Hi Dunnie: I've seen hundreds if not thousands of posts that say the Anthony's never loved Caylee, or they love money more than Caylee, and all that type garbage.
I highly doubt you've seen hundreds or thousands of posts saying the Anthonys never loved Caylee.
From what I've seen, most people myself included, believe they loved her very much.
However, when they stopped their pursuit of the truth and went into protecting Casey mode, I along with others, began to question the actions of the family.
I don't doubt they loved Caylee, but as Cindy said herself, there is nothing she can do about it. She began to protect her daughter just as she has done for years.

And if you perceive things to be lies, smoke and mirrors, then that fault may be within yourself and your own judgment - not something that the Defense Attorney is actually doing.
There are only 2 choices in the court room. Prosecution and Defense.
No one is going to believe both in the end, and it doesn't necessarily mean that either of them lied.
I'm not perceiving anything. Casey is a liar.
Defense should be based on facts and truth. Not lies.
That is my interpretation.
