Nice photos - old muckraker technique.

Hmm - he at least is more accurate about the guy offering to help in return for an attorney.

I think it's funny though, how he keeps saying how untrustworthy these people are, but then pulls out the bits he wishes the jury to believe from them.

Here we go again. If McClinton is so untrustworthy, then why should we believe him when he says he didn't plan a robbery with Stewart?

Is he? I don't know. It was just my first impression of him when I first saw him.

http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/18/once-a-defendant-now-a-defender/

A Casper Wyoming jury acquitted Bryson, ruling he was defending himself. But Bryson says a court employee reading the verdict incorrectly said “guilty” first.

“I knew she was wrong because God had other plans for me.”

The correction to “Not Guilty” was read. Bryson then started down road to becoming a defense attorney. Bryson freely cites Divine-Intervention for changing his life.

Not impossible - but I'd be very surprised by a verdict tomorrow, or Monday. Juries, especially in something high profile, like to walk the evidence first. Sometimes not, and in this case there is quite the mountain of evidence that may not require the debate - but that's what I've seen as the norm.

Mr. Stewart got what he paid for. Is this a $5 per hr lawyer?

Question is, what did his client get paid for NOT testifying?

Not going on the stand, in this predicament is akin to hara-kiri, IMO.

I wish the juror instructions were posted somewhere. Maybe tomorrow. I just thought about what the judge mentioned about the weapon.
IF the jury believed a weapon was in the room, and the victims felt in "harm of possible death was threatened, by use of a gun" or could/would be used - - that could be considered - I think that was item 25.

Yale - yeesh - tried to make a case of why it was ok for OJ to do. He wasn't thinking criminal so he's not to be held criminally accountable.

AT& T doesn't have DLS in my town - I'm lucky that Charter cable does but they charge Waaay too much. I wish the satellite companies could offer a fast internet for the rural folks.

My neighbor said he got hooked on this trial. His comment; "I wonder what they're going to do with that guy?"

Good question. I honestly hope the shady character aspect of the witnesses doesn't distract the jurors from who it is that's on trial.

If it were any of us we'd already be in the slammer doing some time.

I wish it was that simple.

Where we live, the cable company insists that you DEED the ROW to them for perpetuity.

Satellite, not much better. Few options to get "out" of here.

I may forever be at the mercy of IS posters to keep me apprised.

Two options that work out here in the boonies for me are:

WildBlue
HughesNet

I use Blue. Expensive, but worth it. $79.95 a month.

Good Morning - coffee and donuts for all that are going to wait it out.
I'm not sure if this is the thread to use for the rest of the verdict watch so I just wanted to say good morning and does anyone know if the jury doesn't get done today, will they work tomorrow?

I'm looking at KTLA for the closing arguments, since I missed them yesterday. If they're at KTLA, I can't find them. Can anyone point me to another site?
thx

Just caught this tidbit:
SIC:
"Thirteen years to the day after he was acquitted of killing his ex-wife and her friend, a Clark County jury was to begin deliberating Friday whether the 61-year-old former football star and golfing buddy Clarence "C.J." Stewart are guilty of the armed robbery and kidnapping of two sports memorabilia dealers."

Glad to know my short posts helped. I had to leave quickly after my last post to conduct some important business.

I have found that the on line Las Vegas Review Journal newspaper does a very good job with their articles on the Simpson Trial. Here is the link to the current one for Friday, October 3:

Doesn anyone know what Clarence "C.J." Stewart's occupation is? (The one he made his income from?) All I ever see written to describe him is a "former golfing buddy" of O.J. Simpson.

Sorry if someone answered this in later posts, but I just logged on and haven't read everything. There was talk outside of the jury that CJ is a ****, but didn't want to lose his real estate license, even though he hasn't sold anything in a long time.

Ann - Where are you?

You usually have quite an eloquent summation of the high and low points on both sides.

Don't get me started...friends come to visit just as closing arguments start then a hockey game to go to. Grrr what lousy timing! I'm reviewing today & trying to work at the same time, plus the husband is home and underfoot.

But, the news report is that they reached a verdict. If they hung, they would have said they had to talk to the judge.
