Just a silly vivid imagination, although I think many find his relationship with his client rather odd. Even lawyers find it strange.
Has NG ever said anything about it?
I have to admit, I really don't believe that anything untoward is going on between Casey and Baez - personally speaking. What kind of defense they are cooking up may be another story.
Casey doesn't have many in her corner with her. Her family, but no friends are there for her, except for Jose. I do think that he treats her in an very familiar manner, but I think that Baez is taking more of a protective stance towards Casey.
and I didn't believe Bill Clinton or John Edwards would risk everything for illicit sex either...

Remember the Long Island Lolita, or whatever that thing was? Didn't she have an affair with someone like a lawyer or something? Can't recall. Baez doesn't strike me as the brightest bulb in the bunch, or the most desirable person on the face of the earth. He probably dreams about a little attention from someone like Casey, killer and murderer aside.

Sheriff's Office Wants To Prosecute People Who Taunted George Anthony (http://www.wftv.com/news/17515488/detail.html?rss=orlc&psp=news)
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- The violent protesters confronting Casey Anthony outside her house will no longer be tolerated. Late Friday afternoon, the sheriff's office told Eyewitness News it's going to push for prosecuting people who taunted and provoked the grandfather of Caylee Anthony.I must confess that picture of the girl pulling on his shirt really made me feel angry towards her. I really couldn't understand why that dingdong did that. I mean, was she trying to pull him off the private property so one of the drunks could duke it out with him, or was she trying to pull him away from one of her friends. It was an odd pull and the funny part was that George didn't even acknowledge her pulling on him because he was ready to smite one of the punks. They should have never went out there to confront though. That was stupid. You don't know what people will do when they are liquored up like they appeared to be. Dangerous.

The same as NO compassion for them doesnt mean its because of Casey. My compassion left when Cindy disrespected Tim...I had compassion to start with.
I see. Well that's what my post was about, I don't base my own compassion on someone else on THEIR compassion on another person. To each his own, though. My compassion is solely based on what they are going through, not how they treat others. I wouldn't say, "well hey I'll give you compassion, after all your granddaughter is dead, but hey say something nasty about a good man, and then my compassion leaves." I don't get that.
That is what is called CONDITIONAL. "IF you act okay, to my standards, then and only then will I give you compassion......."
That doesn't work for me. When compassion is doled out in that manner, it is not compassion for what the person has endured, it is compassion based on that person's "goodness" or "badness" (or, their compassion for others).
TxLady2
09-19-2008, 07:56 PM
I'm exactly the opposite of you. I don't feel compassion only for the "nice" people in the world....if a person is suffering in some way I don't stop to think whether they are a good person or a bad person, or if they themselves show compassion before I decide how I feel about them.
I see that Cindy and George's granddaughter is probably dead, and their daughter most likely killed her. And the sentence ends there.....I don't add anything on. Period! That is enough for me to have compassion for them, and prayers and sympathy. I don't care what they do, what they say, nothing can stop my compassion for them. I may find some of their words and actions distasteful and crude.....but there but for the grace of God go I. I cannot in my worst nightmares imagine anything worse than what they are going through.
Their world will never be the same, it's really over for them. And nothing they can ever do will make things better, not even waterboarding their daughter to make her tell the truth. I don't believe in karma....what I do believe in, I won't go into because when anyone mentions it, it presses too many hot buttons. Suffice to say my own personal faith makes me the way I am, and I'm not in any way ashamed for not hating or being disgusted with the Anthonys.
And as they say, "your mileage may vary." I don't bash posters who don't share my beliefs or my opinions in this case.
Very well said! ITA!! And I add, I would not wish this situation on my worst enemy!

At the end of this video, the reporter tells about it:

I got the impression from the video that they just sauntered out of the local watering hole after they all talked themselves into making the news and being heroes. Alcohol does funny things to the brain, it makes fat people thin, short people tall, and cowards fearless. Beyond that, it can make otherwise normal people idiots and morons especially in a group setting where they feed off their new found intellect, as they see it. As a mother and grandmother, I feel a great deal of compassion for her, as she is living an unimaginable horror. That being said, I have a serious problem with all her lies, cover-ups and placing blame on everyone except the one person whose actions created this circus. I think Cindy and George are lousy parents, and are several french fries short of a Happy Meal, but I do pray for them, DAILY. I hope they can someday find some sort of normalcy, and I hope they do not completely destroy each other in the process. IF they broke laws, and IMO they have, that too, will be dealt with, but I have no doubt they adored Caylee and will hurt forever over her loss.:(
My hinky meter went off right off the bat with Cindy, I had no feelings either way about George. Then right after the first time Casey was bonded out and the protestors arrived I started feeling sad about them, to the point I wanted to go to their door and see if I could help. Then came her attitude towards Tim Miller.:cuss: Then I started watching more of her interviews. Then I saw George's attitude. Hinky meter went off the charts. With me it's not a matter of compassion hatred or love. It's about doing the right thing by an innocent little baby girl. They're NOT doing it. That disgusts me.

I have not bashed a poster, ever.
You do not have to be nice for me to show compassion. I have compassion, I show compassion, just not for Cindy. Why... several reasons. One I will relate to you again. She shows no compassion for Caylee. I do not know her motives for protecting Casey, but, to me it is at the expense of that baby girl, who could not defend herself. Casey as proven she can defend herself very well. Maybe I blieve an eye for an eye. Isn't that what the bible reads? moo
Can't she have compassion for BOTH?? Would you expect her to disown her daughter completely? Mothers don't stop loving their kids when they do wrong. She does not believe Casey killed Caylee. How does that equal not having compassion for her? She believes that Caylee is still alive. Maybe that is the only thing that keeps her going, so let her have her small amount of peace.
The way I see it, the media started their round of prosecuting Casey from day one when they found out that she waited a month to report Caylee missing, and they have escalated that into convicting her in the media until now that is all it's about... Casey's lies and refusal to tell the truth. NONE of them focus on Caylee, it's just Casey. That would put any mother into protective mode, IMO.
I have no doubt that Cindy loved Caylee with all her heart and still does. We should not crucify her and George just for supporting Casey, it's their decision to make, not ours. Just because they haven't acted like we might does not make them wrong... just different.

George and Cindy have vilified the media, LE, Tim Miller and TES and a bunch of others. But that is okay, huh?
What goes around comes around and they are getting what they dished out.

Ok. Do we know for a fact that they have not searched for her? For all we know, they have PI's out looking. Maybe there are reasons we don't know about. I just know that for a week or two they were driving all over FL with that billboard... and still people were criticizing them.
Yes, I too was angry when she dissed Tim M., that was a mean thing to do. But she wants them to look for a LIVE Caylee, not a dead one.

Just a little bitty drama. Kidding ofcourse...Thanks everyone...
So is nothing going to happen or what? TES says (or spokesperson says) that something that will shock everyone will come down...ummm...other than Caylee not being alive what exactly is this shocking information...information that is earth shattering.
Okay, what the reporter said they said was "new developments that would be surprising". They didn't say "shocking" or "earth shattering". She also reported that the spokesperson said TES would be coming back, one way or the other.
