I find this hard to believe too - he's picked up the dead body car, etc, etc, this is definitely a family crisis. If it were me, I'd probaby be skipping work that day. Maybe not, I don't know, George raises red flags for me.:shrug:

I hope so too. I just wonder why no arrest so far. I think they have plenty. I was on a murder jury about a year ago and we had far less evidence than this and the man was convicted of felony murder. I think prosecutors get gun shy in large cases like this.

In our case, the man was accused of a drive by shooting. We had evidence from a witness that he was in the car when the car left and evidence he was in the car when the car returned. That was about it. A little more to it than that, but he was convicted of felony murder and sent to prison for life.

I think they are after the DP for Casey. Only after listening to those interviews do I think that. It hasn't seemed too likely that the DP would really and truly be on the table, but I have changed my mind.
She was so unflappable in those interviews. It blows my mind how someone can lie so blatantly, be called on it, and yet continue with more lies.

Now she has an entirely different story. Nothing she says is ever going to matter. I understand why LE didn't want to talk with her anymore.
Cindy said LE wouldn't listen to her? They listened too long, but wanted to give her a chance. Total waste of precious time.

When she says about beating herself up, it's not because of what happened with Caylee, it's because she's going thru all this wasted of time trouble and has been caught.
And yes I believe her family KNEW. A mother that calls her daughter a sociopath has had a long time to figure it out. This word did not just fly out of her mouth for effect, it came out because she has known or at least suspected for a very long time. This is not a common word a parent would use for a child that is just troublesome, just a liar. Cindy has probably spent alot of time researching mental disorders to try and figure out what was wrong with Casey and this disorder is what she thought fit with everything she'd seen and experienced with Casey. There are certain criteria laid out to diagnose a sociopath readily available online and add that to her profession as a nurse, she used this word, this disorder because she knew that's most likely what her daughter is.
My question is why she continues to protect her? Why won't she just come out and admit this is what her daughter may be and beg for someone to help her daughter? Beg for someone to help guide her in the best way to handle this all. Why the defensiveness, anger, denial and lashing out at everyone?
I can understand the horror and grief she may be feeling because of the fact Casey did something horrible to her grandaughter, but wouldn't it be more loving and respectful to Caylee to do everything she could to not protect, to try and get help for Casey, to try and do everything she could to get the truth from Casey?

I don't know about the DP. but I agree with the rest of your post. Holy cow -- she is SUCH a liar. The lies just rolled off her tongue.. even after she got caught. I brought this up earlier & did a post and run (I am in Houston ..doing the waiting game w/Ike).. anyway, she got totally busted about NOT working for Universal anymore, then later in the last tape.. the detective starts talking like she still was working there.. and she carries along with him.

She was flat out busted. Admitted she lied about working there.. and then 10 mins later starts lying about working there again.

One friend described her as a "pathological liar".. (was it Ryan?)... that is the perfect definition for her. Pathological, compulsive liar... (oh and baby killer).

I just finished listening to the first couple of parts of her interview with LE, just mind boggling to listen to her. For instance, when they're grilling her over lying about working there and letting them get all the way to the hallway before admitting she lied. Her excuse is that she was reaching, that Caylee has been to Disney and Sea World, so she thought maybe they could show Caylee's picture to Security and people working the gates. If that's the case, why on earth didn't she just say something like "look, I no longer work at Disney, but..I know she's been there, or that Zanny has taken her there, can we go there, take a picture of Caylee and check to see if anyone's seen her." I felt like banging my head into the wall just listening to that.

I think the tests are back too kakax, but am wondering if the bones with clothes that were found...that no info has been released about...may be being tested to find if they are Caylee. That was just a couple of days ago and if they are in the condition Kobi spoke about tonight on NG, it may take a few days to determine conclusivley if the bones are Caylee's. Since there has been no info released about what was found, again per NG, I'm thinking maybe it's possible that LE is keeping that info close and will not do a thing until it's absolute. I think of how Tim and his team left. I understand about the reasons given, flood water etc. I also think of how the searchers were told not to speak of anything that may be found. Maybe divine intervention with the timing? I don't know, just thinking out loud.
With this tho, I again find my self with that sick feeling in my stomach, I want Caylee found, but get sick when I think they may have found her.

From what I have seen with this sort of thing is that they get working on it ASAP. For example, when Hans Reiser finally led police to where he had buried Nina Reiser's body, it was early afternoon. The police immediately began digging to uncover the remains, working on into the night, then loaded the remains onto a stretcher which was taken to the coroner's office while the forensic teams continued conducting a forensic search of the surrounding area. They didn't just dig until dark then stop and wait until light to keep digging; they kept going until the job was done.

Barskin it may or not be true, but i know at RU we often got info first bc there were locals on the ground when LE was checking something in the holloway case, and in one case i was emailed by a family member to ask our posters if they could get info on a rumor someone sent them - turned out to be a car accident not a body discovery. If it is a poster with a decent reputation as opposed to a troll then it might be true.

Often i have heard things on msm and their sites arent updated for a while especially late at night. live can be live and asleep when it comes to the site editors especially when they are trying to confirm things :D

One last thing, I think it was very telling that in the interview where LE is asking Casey about why Caylee wasn't upset or "I miss you mommy" when she talked to her after not seeing or hearing from her in 5 weeks, that Casey said that Caylee was always like that with her, but it would have been different if Caylee was talking to Cindy.

R= Report FiledI haven't a single doubt that all of these calls are a piece of the big picture for LE. I keep saying it's all in the family dynamics and getting poo-pooed by some for my "armchair psychology", but I have the experience in life and in my professional life to make a pretty good call about patterns of dysfunction. These people do not know how to get along and relate normally IMO, not just during this crisis, but in regular life. Too much job hopping, lack of outside connection, obvious lack of "people skills", lack of ability to take personal responsibility, the list goes on.
I don't need to prove any of my point however. This family is a mess and has been for a good long while. Caylees disappearance just turned over the rock they were living under. Now we can see them for what they have always been. It is sad that not one of them managed to decide to go for outside help while there was still time. I know Cindy did try...unfortunately, given what appears to have happened when she did what she interpreted as following the counselors advice, I'm sure she now doesn't trust therapy and will never voluntarily seek such support again.
That is really sad considering that i doubt anyone could sucessfully deal with sorrow like she has come to know w/o professional support or great spiritual faith.
I'm tired of the whole family and their transparent machinations. I still pray for all of them but Casey still. IMO, she is a lost cause.

I will stick by my claim this family has a "history of violence" and not what we've just seen in the past few months either. I mean come on; who has this many calls to their home? This, is Americana, A Beautiful Life? Like I said before this FamDamLy has a lot to hide, and the abuse is just one thing, one MAJOR MAJOR factor in what happened to Caylee. And, its really hard to face, it's really hard to take, it's really hard to think that this Child, is Dead and her remains, i'm sure unrecoverable. It's that Gas Can Report that did it for me George. It's called Overthinking a Crime. My2c Tonite and every night until she is FOUND, which is looking like never. It appears that the calls about family disturbances occurred around the time GA filed for divorce in 2005. Other than that the reports seemed to be made by the Anthony family, not about them.

Barskin it may or not be true, but i know at RU we often got info first bc there were locals on the ground when LE was checking something in the holloway case, and in one case i was emailed by a family member to ask our posters if they could get info on a rumor someone sent them - turned out to be a car accident not a body discovery. If it is a poster with a decent reputation as opposed to a troll then it might be true.

Often i have heard things on msm and their sites arent updated for a while especially late at night. live can be live and asleep when it comes to the site editors especially when they are trying to confirm things :D

not ready to accuse someone of a hoax. Could be that george left and then wesh showed stock footage of cops going into an area, could be true or could be a hoax.

I was thinking the same thing. It could be that LE knew about this"shallow grave" since this afternoon. But to avoid news reports and the public watching, they chose to bring out dogs and CSI when there would be less of a chance being noticed.

If Wesh called LE, it would makes sense that they would say it was nothing. Just like the clothes and bones being discovered, they want all information coming close to vest until it is stragic to have a PC.

We'll just have to wait and see if something comes of it, I guess.

i actually don't read anything into the family's refusal to take LD tests.

IMO Baez would have argued and convinced them that it would/could show they lied when they told the truth etc and are unreliable, etc. etc. as strongly as anyone could.

His vested interest is casey and that means he will do anything to stop an LDT by her parents.

Also George was LE but 20 years ago and the science of polygraphs has changed mightily. At that time there were far more false positives and lots of creepy results which were not true..including LE lying about them.

Add to the fact that when a LDT was requested padilla was in the RV meaning that it was well after the whole country was after the parents not just casey, i don't think its suspicious at all.

Baez may not be their attorney but at the time he was the "gospel" in terms of an independent advisor and imo took full advantage of it. Would not surprise me if he told the family that the kidnappers were being watched and all the other crap, that "casey discussed everything with him and he cant allow her to answer questions but "can say xyz"

I can just imagine folks in my office would be clamoring to get info to the press if one of our colleagues were involved in such a thing. Not so much for publicity, but to try to be of help...give some insight, protect (or NOT), maybe...something. IIRC, even SS's co-worker gave interviews regarding her behavior at work.
I wonder how she got along with her colleagues. Usually one bonds with at least one person at work, talk, share stories about life, family, children, grandchildren. I find practically no information about WHO these people were before this case. Just strikes me as a little odd.

I don't think Cindy knew what was going on when she first made those 911 calls. I think George knew from the beginning what happened. He was the last one to Casey with Caylee. What better person for Casey to go to than dad the ex-cop. It was not until after George got home that Cindy change her attitude about the situation. I think George is the one controlling this situation. Although, he can not control his own temper.

Lets see that interview was about two weeks ago; before Padilla went home and Before Tim Miller was boots on the ground? It's all there online, for the world to see. I'd have to say that when CNN reports these things they need to back them. If they have experts on; they need to back what their Experts say. I think even in this case watching Koblinsky, backpedal has been the worst thing of all. So, I'd have to say look for NG or Greta Transcripts or better yet the last few Pressors that LE has given in FL.

For the FBI saying the child is dead link. You know, I still believe that the Chloro, was used in an elaborate attempt to clean that trunk. Now, only two people would have tried that, someone who had prior LE training or a nurse. That is straight from the Experts too, and I firmly believe that. I dont think that Caylee was drugged with Chloro, neither does the FBI. I didnt need an Expert to tell me this or confirm what I thought on TV or in the news, its my observation based on what Cindy and George have insisted on; on tape that led me to that conclusion. Sad as some think that is. Sad as I think that is.

In reality the FBI hasn't made any comments on this case or the evidence tested, nor will they. The FBI never comments on any investigation.

It had to be a small body in the trunk..

I believe that Caylee is dead by Casey's hand, but I'm not willing to accept anything that comes from "a source close to the investigation" as reliable.

During the S. Peterson investigation "a source close to the investigation" leaked that there was vomit on a mop, Laci didn't know about the insurance policy on her life, the house smelled like bleach and S. Peterson wouldn't allow LE into the house without a search warrant. During his trial we learned that all of the above were untrue.

Until LE openly says they have certain evidence, I take it with a grain of salt.

I haven't posted in a bit - this is all so depressing. But I did listen to the tapes today - OMG is all I can say.

I can't believe how much time Casey is spending with Baez. I'm watching Nancy Grace as he walks into the house. Didn't he just spend the entire day with her? I've never heard of such a thing - is this his only case, and do we (taxpayers) pay for all this time. I remember the Westerfield case and how his defense attorney was reimbursed by the County of San Diego -- ouch!

The reason I ask this, is in the case of Westerfield - we (the county of San Diego where I reside) ended up paying for the *&$#^& defense:

San Diego County paid out $304,500 in fees to the two attorneys who defended David Westerfield in his death-penalty trial last year, according to county records released Wednesday.

Oh yeah, Orange County is paying a pretty penny for Casey Anthony. doesn't it make you feel warm and fuzzy? I think court appointed attorneys usually get a standard amount. I guess he could trump up his billable hours but that's about it. I don't think there is anything to stop the county from paying Baez.. It is a basic right in the United States to have legal representation, as it should be.

I wouldn't be happy about it, if I lived in Florida though.

actually him being the person who saw Caylee leave the home with Casey on June 16......that has not been corroborated by anyone.

Cindy is the only one who has really gone out on a limb to plead to the public that WE need to find Caylee. I've heard her say more than once, that we need to get off our arsses and look for Caylee while she stays home and makes brownies, pounds hammers, or waters protestors in the front yard.

Like everyone else it is hard to listen to someonr lie so much. i n listening to the tapes just released I also felt there was something psychologically wrong with her. She could not grasp even the concept of truth..outwardly as the police grilled her making her chose but inwardly she could not supply one iota of credible info based on what she had seen She wanted to impress the officers and I think her whole life is about that. I've posted this before. I know there are psychological disorders where a young woman is locked into her own world and there is medication for it. She really is not in touch with her feelings and she needs help getting there. It is a very lonely and terrible condition...very alienating and makes her unable to relate.

It is not something a child is born with. i doubt it but developed in adjusting to the demands and influences around her as wellm as her own inner fears. if you notice how Casey talks and walks and dresses she is very much the perfectionist. She talks like a robot...i find it unpleasant. i dont want to go on too much about this but it would be a revelationary idea to extend help to her instead of punishment. help in some confined and monitered setting...yet a safe place for her to come out.

She needed help desperately a long time ago and it is too bad that Cindy knowing her child's condition did not seek help for her . she was trying it seems to do it all by herself convincing herself that she was teaching Casey how to be a good mother and trying to be her best friend.

By posting these tapes LE has made it clear that they have had enough and that she is the monster and it is by her own choice.

At first when they found the chloroform I was agast and thought for sure she was a murderer. But the amount of gas (chloroform is a gas) found is way way excessive to kill anyone. So although she (and can LE prove it was Casey who searched) searched for chloroform there is no way to prove she used it other than to clean the car.

As far as her lying goes I'm beginning to think she does have some brain malfunction not something opoerable but one based on years of non-existance as herself....there is a name for it ...The What IF Personality...a pretend personality she has made up to please her parents and do what is expected of her.

When the police question her it is a game for her and she regards them as crazy people she has to go along with and impress.

What I am trying to say is while much of her behavior and congnition seems evil..it isnt a case of judgement. I dont like to use the word sick but it is more of a condition that with the right treatment could be cured and she could become a productive human being. She could at least become a person of worth and value to herself.

I do believe in forgiveness if by understanding the problem is solved.

In other words it is senseless to forgive a drunk or an addict until they have kicked it. And I am not even sure Casey is aware of what she is doing, why she is doing it and what other choices she has.

i heard a little humanity in her voice today when she spoke of how she never see her daughter again and the pain she has caused her mother and masses of others. I am siding with the fact that there is someone in there somewhere who truly loved her daughter.

Per haps Casey is seeing visions as often when a person dies the ones closest to that person can still hear and see him or her. Many widows continue to live with their husbands that way. Casey's wild goose chase she keeps trying to explain to the offices was because Caylee used to play there, they had a good time together there at Sea World, maybe the security guard has seen her.....perhaps in her own inability to comprehend the finality of death she is following that angel spirit..here, here , here this is where we were once so happy and carefree....maybe they will find you here too where I need you right beside me.

What may have really happened is just too unbearable. Caylee's spirit will live on in Casey, in Cindy and George and all those she touched as for the general public who can forget whwqt we have learned of her Life goes on.

As for Casey she has already lied and died...I hope that someday there will be another life for her with a lot more substance inbetween..

Yet, she could also have something else, I have severe Graves' disease & always have something to sip near me as I feel dehydrated all the time.

JMO but Casey had help in covering this up. I believed all along that it was more than just love for Caylee that drove George and Cindy to cover up for Casey. They lied for Caylee with such veracity that people said the Anthony's couldn't bear to lose another loved one...meaning Casey.

I didn't buy it. I still don't.

I believe fear of being implicated in an elaborate cover-up motivated GA and/or CA to do and say the ridiculous things they've said.

A friend commented on the protesters outside the Anthony home and asked why people are being such jerks. I agree that a lot of those people ARE jerks; they shouldn't be making noise and disrupting the neighbours. But... I explained to her that a lot of people out there are very concerned about this baby and the fact that her mother is lying her face off rather than helping LE get to the truth.

I am trying not to be obsessed with this case, but last night I dreamt that my little granddaughter had forgotten to take her lunch to school, so I took it over. When I got there little Samantha wasn't in her class. I asked the teacher and no one knew where she was. There were other classes out in the fields, so we all went out there to find her. We were all tromping around the fields and asking one another, "Where is Caylee?!" "Where is Caylee?!"

I woke up when I realized that my dream didn't make sense, but that my sub-conscious was trying to figure out where Caylee Anthony was.

I think a lot of people out there are feeling this very same way!

I hate it when this happens, no news, every little thing seems to start a near riot.

I so hope they find her soon, this is becoming almost unbearable. It seems like slow torture. I wish LE would tell us something, anything, I am trying to be patient, but it gets harder and harder.

In a small town 20 miles from us a child was missing. The nieghbors, family, friends all were there continually to give the family support and help search. Several Churchs took turns furnishing meals so the family would not have to worry about it. The lack of family, friends, neighbors support tells me a lot about this family.

It's still up and running, but it has been a little slow for the past hour or so. I think most people went to bed..seeing as how it's 3am on the east coast, lol.

Anyways, I agree with what you said. There is no way Casey is going to crack now. I listened to those tapes a few times and it's clear that she is sticking by her story. It's pretty sad. A part of me thinks it's to the point now where she is starting to believe her own lies. I think she is just scared of her life being over, and her going to jail. She wants to see if she can outsmart investigators with this, and make herself look like the victim. It's truly disgusting how she has acted throughout this entire case, and I really pray that justice for little Caylee comes soon.

I agree with what you said. It really is sad how anyone can hurt a child, then lie about it and take investigators on a complete whirlwind and completely waste their time by telling lies. Casey even admitted in those audio recordings that she knew by lying she was wasting their time.

I think only 1 person on here thinks Cindy killed Caylee, but I could be wrong. The overwhelming majority believes Casey did. I think the poster that believes that Cindy may have played a role in Caylees death came to her own conclusion of that after listening to the audio tapes.

There is something wrong with Casey. To not show any emotion, to be a pathological liar and not once just break down and tell the truth, to sit there with a calm and carefree attitude and lie to detectives, etc..yeah there is something wrong with her. I agree she is a piece of work, and it really makes me sick to think a parent could act like that.

There isn't a record of it because she was using Mac OSX and when she tried to transfer the record to her Windows computer, there was a glitch. She did call Apple but Steve Jobs said there was absolutely no fix for this and, unfortunately, the records were lost forever and Bill Gates number was disconnected. I wish I could provide more proof, but I can't. If I could, this wouldn't be happening right now."

I can understand that you think that Casey has a mental problem -- all killers have a mental problem -- I don't think anyone on this board would not agree with that. However, mental issues are no excuse to kill a defenseless child, and can never be forgiven (IMO).

I do agree with you when you say that what really happened is unbearble, but I do not believe that Caylee will live on in Casey. She killed that child (IMHO) and like Peterson, Smith, Westerfield, will suffer every single day for the rest of her life. And I do believe in spirits (I saw my mom after she passed) and believe that Caylee will not be able to move on to the afterlife until she is found and given a proper burial. That's what I believe religion and spirit wise. There are no happy endings here - no matter how much Casey ends up trying. On that note, I'd love to see those psych reports.

So for me, I do not hope that someday there will be another life for her with a lot more substance inbetween. I believe she will somehow pay for her crime and go to hell. No one kills a child and comes out on the upside (IMHO).

I haven't a single doubt that all of these calls are a piece of the big picture for LE. I keep saying it's all in the family dynamics and getting poo-pooed by some for my "armchair psychology", but I have the experience in life and in my professional life to make a pretty good call about patterns of dysfunction. These people do not know how to get along and relate normally IMO, not just during this crisis, but in regular life. Too much job hopping, lack of outside connection, obvious lack of "people skills", lack of ability to take personal responsibility, the list goes on.
I don't need to prove any of my point however. This family is a mess and has been for a good long while. Caylees disappearance just turned over the rock they were living under. Now we can see them for what they have always been.

Nope, to "slander" one would had to have made a statement/s as a fact.

Eight years ago I was bed ridden for over 6 months. I had the most loving & caring nurse who fell apart in tears when the doctor gave me 2 1/2 days to live.

Her being a nurse for 2 decades I thought it strange as I figured they were kinda use to deaths.

I recovered obviously but she didn't, she had a bad crystal meth addition for many years. I think she is out of prison now but lost custody of her Children.

I had no ideal she had an addiction & she was a good Mother as her Children were very healthy, happy and well mannered.

I knew another nurse decades ago who also lost her Children & had many additions.

Being a nurse does not make one immune to addictions. It's also IMO a very hard job, one I know I could not do.

Yes. She is a sociopath. Some call it a psychopath. She has no conscience. She doesn't have emotions like normal people. The lying and partying, the narcissism are all symptoms.

She was a "parent" only in the sense that she didn't use birth control, she gave birth and her mother insisted on keeping the baby.

This has me curious also. Where is the community and family support? Around here everyones life is on hold and the family of the missing comes first. People take their own vacation time, sick days, etc. to help the family and support them. I don't understand why they seem to be alienated. Is there some background we are unaware of?
No matter who you are, if your child/grandchild is missing, you need all the hugs, arms around your shoulders, conversation, support that can be mustered to help you go on.

Any clues fellow posters might have as to why no one was there in the early days before all the hoopla and tantrums?
