I think it was a normal progression. When the stern cop who called her on every lie didn't get anything out of this cold monster, then they left and the "good" cop came in and was sympathetic, etc. It started to work, she broke down over her mother being too hard on her, but then got ahold of herself and realized this guy seemed to be believing her and smoothly went on with her spun lies like nothing ever happened. Amazing. I'll bet the others were out in the hall saying that in all their 30 years of experience they've never seen anyone as cold and lying and monstrous as this 22 year old. MOO

She is cold alright and sat there and was not the least bit intimidated by three veteran detectives who have been interviewing murderers all their working lives. She is tough and may very well go to her grave never telling unless someone finds Caylee. Please from my mouth to Gods ears!!!:rose:

From the way she looked when LP bailed her out after 30 days, I think it was getting to her. Then he had to bail her out. :flamemad: I wish they would have left her in, we might have some of the truth by now since it would have benefited her if they gave her some leeway. The only way she will talk if it really benefits her and the alternative is horrible. Otherwise, it's going to be dead silence. MOO

I just got done listening to the tape with the detectives too. She was referring to Caylee in the past tense quite a few times. I also noticed she seems to be weirdly addicted to her cell phones or something. What was up with that??? I would say, after listening to her, & her lack of ANY form of panic or grief, she just doesn't & didn't care.:chicken:

but it isn't going to happen for awhile; i know people have been convicted without a body; it depends how strong the circumstantial evidence is and the police have an unlimited amount of time to build their case and in the meantime hope Caylee's body shows up; The reason they aren't bringing charges (according to Geraldo) is that once they charge her they have like so many days ( like 175- though not sure that is accurate); in any event once they charge her they have a certain amount of time and they must go to trial; so i think they want to put together the best case they can to give them the best chance to convict her lyin' and murderous butt. Ya know it's killing em' to see her out on bond.

I feel pretty safe on the second floor in the middle of my complex (my apartment is two stories)...I also filled my bathtub with water so I could flush if they turn off the water...

I think now more than ever Casey is tight lipped. There is so much rage in that household trying to get answers...that they are taking it outside and onto the protesters...jmo. Casey is either hiding at her lawyer's all day or when she is there she is holed up in her room on the computer. Likely saying very little of anything. I would go in there and yank her out by her hair and make her sit with the family. Regardless.

I find it hard to believe that Cindy really thinks there is a Zenaida who watched Caylee. I think about my own two kids and we talk to them about their babysitter's all the time. We'll say, "What did you and Robin do today?" or something like that. There's simply not a person in your child's life that much who they don't talk about. Know what I mean?ITA caylee would have talked to cindy and george and lee all about the nanny if there had been one. Any normal grandmother would ask what did you and nanny do today. what did you have for lunch at nanny? simple questions that all gp would ask. I really think cindy knows a lot more than she is tellign along with ga and lee. this family had a lot of prom.and don;t want the world to know. they all or covering for casey. So true. And the other thing I thought about, is that I remember times when my kids were with my mother in law, and my mom would call wanting to talk to the kids. She would ask for their number and call the kids wherever they were, or even go pick the kids up from there. Obviously that was a different situation because we are all family, but I can't imagine Cindy going a month without talking to Caylee and not asking for a number to reach her. If Cindy called Casey and Casey said, "Oh, Caylee's with the nanny", after a few times of getting that answer I would expect Cindy to say, "Well what's Zanny's number, I'll just call Caylee myself".

I'm listening carefully to where she says something that we *know* is a lie, and comparing that to everything else she says, trying to see if I can tell any difference between lies and truth. I can't. Unless everything she says is a lie, which is probable, I can't distinguish any differences in her tone or detect hesitations.

She really is convincing, isn't she? The lengths she goes to, the details. OMG! I can't even tell a white lie without smiling or giggling so I don't even try. How the heck does she DO this?

Not saying its the only reason for being supportive, i do think they believe that caysee was somehow betrayed and everything else cause they are not psychopaths and cannot deal with the idea caylee is dead at their daughters hands yet. But motive doesn't matter..the only way we will get a crack of light from caysee is if she talks.

btw...i believe Baez knows full well what happened. He has been supportive and caring and all the rest, she also knows he cant talk so i bet dollars to donuts he knows and will use the info to get a plea if she is charged with murder but not otherwise.

ITA, interesting I would think if it were me trying to pass off a lie I would be making up stuff I would be more likely to remember, not unusual. In listening to the tapes (can't remember which one maybe #6 or #7) when asked questions "did you do anything to harm your child?" she anwers before they can even finish the question. If you continue to listen keeping in mind that she answers some questions before they finish asking the ?, she answers in that manner to questions regarding the welfare or her involvement in harm to Caylee. But when they are questioning her about other details, she is methodical. What I am trying to communicate is that she answers those questions regarding Caylee's welfare, she is almost to quick to answer...

I think now more than ever Casey is tight lipped. There is so much rage in that household trying to get answers...that they are taking it outside and onto the protesters...jmo. Back on topic.. I am still listening to the tapes. So they expose her lying about her job but in the middle (towards the end) of tape #3 -- they start talking like she is still working at Universal.. while discussing whether she can email or call from work.

I've seen mention of the black car in the driveway being body guards/security people? How strange... I have to wonder if it's not body guards but just security guards. I had to do that once, a long time ago. Was a security guard and we had to "camp" out in our cars at the plant manager's house during a teamster's strike. Maybe the 2 guys in the car are like me and the other guards during that strike. Wish one of the news stations that are camped in the street would give us an explanation. :shrug:

Caylee who was away from her mother, her grandmother, and the only home she has ever known for 5 weeks and she was "fine." That sounds like Scott Peterson telling Amber and reporters that he told Laci about his affair with Amber, and she was "fine." I think this may be because they are both sociopaths, and they don't know the appropriate emotions and don't know how to lie about other's emotions. They both trip themselves up like that.

I think now more than ever Casey is tight lipped. There is so much rage in that household trying to get answers...that they are taking it outside and onto the protesters...jmo. Casey is either hiding at her lawyer's all day or when she is there she is holed up in her room on the computer. Likely saying very little of anything. I live on the coast of North Carolina and have been through my share of Hurricanes. I do wish you the best. Is there a third floor in your building or are you on the top floor? Also, if you have a washing machine, fill it up and pull the knob so that it can stay filled. Make sure you have a regular phone with a cord so that you will have phone if power goes off.


IMO: Cindy originally stated that if Cindy was let out of jail that she could get the truth out of her, then Padilla had his girl in the house with her and the possibility of Cindy getting the truth out of Cindy disappeared. I believe it was a strategic mistake when Cindy was not allowed to be with Casey in the house after the first jail stint. Cindy was not able to "make" her talk. Now, Cindy, George and Casey are together every night and there is no longer any talk about Cindy finding out where Caylee. IMO, she already knows and the four of them (Cindy, George, Casey and Lee) are all in the coverup together. Unless Caylee is found, I do not think there will be anymore revelations about where Caylee is located. They are going to remain closed mouth. I think even if Caylee is found they already have a response that the "kidnappers" killed her. Hopefully, LE can prove Casey is the one who killed her daughter.
