View Full Version : Monday Sept 8th - Morning Thread
Morning all,
Looks like the Mobile cam is zoomed to the driveway and garage perhaps to get a better view of Casey leaving the home later to see the case manager at the jail.

Reminder: Board will be experiencing some down time throughout the day.

George could face charges for his out burst yesterday according to the local news this AM.. It was on WFTV but I haven't found a video yet. It clearly shows Geo with the hammer in his hand shoving a guy and then an older lady.
Inhis hands that hammer is just as dangerous as a gun and I really hope that the LE is seriously looking into this and that the folks involved follow thru with the charges. He is out of control!!
Morning bella,
You didn't miss much. Not sure if you were up when Tim announced they're temporarily calling off the search but he'll be back when the conditions are better. Also, two protestors were pushed around by George and they're thinking of filing a lawsuit against him.
Too bad you can't take the day off. You deserve it. :rose:

Yes, GA had an outburst with 2 protesters. I understand his frustration BUT taking it out on an elderly woman is inexcusable.

Good morning friends and welcome back all our searchers. I am so proud of all of you. :patriot:
george has no business putting his hands on anyone, as a former cop you would think he understands this simple concept. If he needs to express his anger and frustration, I suggest he stroll into his daughter's room and take it up with her.
Praying today for a rapid reduction of all the standing water in the areas that Tim wants to search. If casey anthony alone disposed of her daughter's remains, she didn't do a thorough job imo, and the searchers may just find something.

I don't think it was returned. IIRC, the judge's reasoning for not revoking the bail was that Casey (supposedly) didn't know about the gun. Well, she would know by now wouldn't she? IIRC, LE was holding the gun for "safekeeping". Link around somewhere, but that's just what I recall.

I can't believe how much the cops are letting the protesters get away with! :cuss: Sure, it's "legal" but...... I can't get upset with George for what he's done. It's not rational, but in his position who would be rational? I wouldn't want a mob camped out in front of my house day after day with "baby killer" signs. A person can only take so much. I don't care WHAT that family did (depending on anyone's opinion just what that is), no one deserves this. Especially since it's really not a constructive use of the protestors' time/energy and serves no good purpose. In my opinion.

What surprises me is that George, being an ex Sheriff's Deputy, should know that the sidewalk to the street isn't private property. On top of that, after that altercation with the news crew last week, you'd think that his atty or some of the cops who seems to always be there would have reminded him and told him he'd better not let something like that happen again. Maybe they did and he's just so hot-headed he cannot control himself.

Oh, I don't think for a minute George "forgot" he had a gun in the wheel well. I think it was put there intentionally to avoid it being found in an LE search of the property or to avoid that being a reason for the judge to revoke bond based on a weapon in the house.
Who carries a gun in the wheel well? I mean, if a carjacker comes up you tell them to wait while you go check the wheel well for your gun? Burglar comes in and you tell them to wait? IMO, that doesn't make any sense. But I don't have the restrictions of no weapon in the house like George and Cindy have.

Thanks for the photo
Same rules apply here in Ontario.
Even though it is city property, the homeowner is responsible to maintain.
The homeowner must shovel the snow off the sidewalk, cut the grass, etc. You are in violation blocking public access if you park over the sidewalk.
If the protesters stay on the boulevard, they are in fact on city property and there's nothing the Anthony's can do.

I know the stress has to be hard` but I agree..George is an ex cop..he knows the rights of others and he knows that sidewalk isnt his and he also should have known that a case like this will bring about all thats happening.
He should also have known bringing Casey there would bring out protesters...If they cant handle then they should have left her in jail or sent her to another location.

I must say that after watching that video, that I can understand why George finally lost it. At that point the protestors were no longer on the sidewalk and were congregating in his driveway.
I don't see a need for them to press charges here - both sides could use a good :punch: IMO.

Nobody should forget they have a gun.
And as distasteful as I find the protesters, the Anthony's should know that they are in this situation, not only because of their daughter (IMO) but because of their own confrontational responses to people who are trying to help. (MOO) They need to shut the blinds, and stay inside. Or wait... how about telling the truth about Caylee- then the case would be over, Casey would go to jail (JMO) and the protesters would move on. Just a thought.

Sometimes I feel as though the Anthonys want to be on the news because they always seem to find a reason to be outside in front of the cameras, hammering in the no trespassing signs, the vigil, etc.
If they want to be left alone, they have a means of leaving. Go into the garage, get into their car and drive off. Sure they will see the protesters, who I totally disagree with, but they can keep the windows up and keep driving. Block the side windows until they are on the road, while in the garage they can put towels on the windows.
If the protesters do come on your actual property line, I agree with other posters, take pictures from your home or have other people take pictures and contact the police. If you don't give the protesters a reason to be there, like coming out of your house so they can yell and upset you, they will get tired and go away. Sometimes when I see you coming outside to confront the protesters, I wonder if you enjoy having them there, so you can look like the victims.
Have your vigil in another area where it is not so public. Why are you having it in front of your house. Shouldn't a vigil for Caylee be peaceful and quiet. It appears to me as an outsider that you do like to stir up trouble, you seem to enjoy setting off the protesters.
If you want the media to back off, stop stepping in front of the cameras every chance you get. Let someone else come out and hammer in the no trespassing signs.
This is JMO. It appears that you are using the media when it suits your purposes, once you found out what Casey had been doing during the time that Caylee was missing, your granddaughter stopped being your main focus and protecting Casey became more important. I think Caylee deserves more from you. How could you not be angry at your daughter, she took away something very special to you.
Your pain is never going to stop until you face the truth and maybe when you do that Caylee can come home to you and you will be able to have closure. At that time you can then begin to concentrate on helping Casey.

 [/*]
ITA about the gun and I am fairly sure that we "know" who called in the tip (considering the time).
Under our Consitution, Casey has the right (at this time) to be bonded out, and people have the right to protest. Personally, I do not think that LE feels too badly about the pressure being put on the Anthonys by the protests.
Yes, this whole thing has become a circus. It seems to be part of human nature to watch a "train wreck". On the other hand, I have never seen people (the Anthonys) make so many bad choices, one right after the other. Other than Cindy making the 911 call, every decision they have made has been the wrong one.
They may not like all of the protesters in front of their house, but Cindy is the one who stuck her face in front of every camera, they chose to hold vigils in front yard, and they chose to tell the most unbelievable lies!
I do feel sorry for the neighbors--maybe they should visit with the Anthonys

Florida was one of the states hit hardest by the sub-prime loan fiasco and the foreclosure rate is through the roof. Those people will lose a fortune trying to sell their houses now.

I understand what YOU are saying, because I had the same concerns. However the officers here tell me it is NOT just for MEDICAL emergency, it is to initiate police activity. He said if I wanted a report to call the non emergency number and that if I was really uncomfortable calling 911 to call the other disbatch number.. and guess what, when I called that other non emergency number..guess what they did..put me through to 911. They both state they are pressing charges IIRC.
George needs to stay away from the crowds imo. It is a good they they have lawyered up imo.
He could put a large privacy fence around his front yard with a wooded gate for the driveway. I think that would stop the protesters imo who would then be yelling at a fence only imo. I do agree they have a right to protest, but many are just wanting to be on TV imo. They are there for the wrong reasons, and exploiting their own children as well.

The glass window incident (supposed glass window incident) IIRC, happened after he left the force. It was reported earlier (and there's probably a link) that he left for "family reasons", then went to work for his father, then the plate glass incident, then opened his own auto shop which went belly up, then the move to Florida.
His BIL, I believe, is the only person who has stated that George "might" have been in homicide. I don't think that's ever been confirmed one way or the other.

On the 20/20 show they said he was a former Sheriff's Deputy. But, when a cop retires or resigns it isn't always because he's done his time. A lot of times they are given the opportunity to resign/take early retirement rather than face charges or a public scandal. Not always but it just "feels" to me like this is probably the case with GA, just from what I've seen of him so far? IYKWIM.

I'm not sure I agree that GA is a bully. Don't know him of course. I think he is just a person who is stretched to the limit emotionally, and possibly physically, too. I hate what those protesters are doing to them. Legal or not, it's cruel, and isn't going to accomplish anything at all. jmo

Maybe they should put up a privacy fence around the entire yard and have a wood gate across the driveway when they want to leave. I would imagine that would discourage some of the protesters imo.

If those protestors are keeping on the sidewalk and street, then it's legal. But if they go in the driveway as soon as a car pulls up or run up to one of them, shouting and waving signs... then George or Cindy have every right to do what they do... short of physically attacking them. I see the reporters going right up to them all the time. That's understandable, they're trying to get a story. But it has to be aggravating.
I cannot imagine having this crazy mob in front of my house day and night. I might go a little ballistic too. These protestors should go and join the search parties instead of wasting time standing around and looking goofy. What good is that going to do? It just makes the A's madder and it is inciting a riot.
I'm not an Anthony supporter.... but this family has gone through hell, it's not sensible to antagonize them more. Somebody is going to end up being hurt or even killed. Not to mention having their little children at something like that.. that is just crazy!
Just because something is legal, doesn't make it right! People should realize that George is on the verge of losing it entirely... is that what they're all aiming for? To see him lose his temper and actually HURT somebody?? The man is a basket case... leave them alone!

I think its our GA ,,
I found another site talking about the case and it stated they were from Trumbull County Ohio..
The link above is a records search for the county ,, I am sure its him cause one link has listed an auto dealership..
Hit the links to the right of the name and you can search thru the case files.. I have looked at 3 out of 5 so far and its mostly land foreclosures ,,

I agree. It had to be someone close to the Anthony family, I would think, that would even be aware of the gun and where he keeps it.
I think they called in the tip trying to make sure nothing bad happened there due to the stress mounting. It was to protect George and to protect those who may incite him.
