 Cheers, Kudos, Blessings and Thanks to our IS posters (and the hubby) that helped in the search!

I hope the thread will get to stay so we can all read everybody's take on their experiences there.

I'm sure our members will have do's and don'ts and suggestions for others that may be thinking about searching when someone goes missing in their state or a nearby state.

And the rest of us will have lots of questions too.

good morning -
yesterday was a bittersweet day - It was wonderful to see so many people show up and help in the search but we are not sure that our precious little girl was brought home. If you ever get the chance to meet Tim Miller - wow - this is an amazing man- but he has the saddest eyes I have ever seen....he will be in my thoughts everyday-
the group I was with was in a big area - but it was kinda crazy how we all felt the same way towards the family - the respect and sympathy for the family is definately dwindling -

now - on the flip side of searching - I was able to meet jbellaj - rebel and ckrdpast - you are a wonderful group of ladies and it was a privildge (sp) to meet you - I wish we could have done more last night for the 5 group thing but hopefully more was accomplished this morning - I hope jbellaj and rebel catch up on sleep - and I will do this again.....

cool - at least they had some sleep -

I think I am going to stay away from the boards for the most part today because this mornings postings on the Sunday morning one - a couple of the postings from a ceratin poster (we talked it about it yesterday) it really makes me mad - I think that poster should come down and spend the day with the searchers - I bet it would be a sobering experience - it is pretty evident that a live Caylee will not be home - not that I do not want for that to happen but you have to be realistic....yesterday was a lot more than just looking for a missing baby - it was a mission to move this case along and finally put a lot of the myths to rest - I want people to realize just what is really going on out there - but I uess those who will not see what evidence is out there and who want to believe in their fairy tales will be very sad when we are all able to put this baby in a proper resting place....

Thank you for your time and effort in looking for Caylee. I pray each day for the people who are out there searching for her.

Unfortunately, my battle with cancer keeps me from the long travel.

Is there anything you feel comfortable sharing with us about what's going on down there? it seems you guys are talking very mysteriously... haha

thanks again and God bless you all.

I know that people are going out there on these searches and have a lot of hope that this little girl is found - there are a lot of things being marked and looked at - like my team leader said - just because we do not find Caylee - we may find another body of someone who is missing and can finally bring them home -

all the people were fed up with the anthonys' - and really just want the family to come clean -

Tim and LE have their spots there are checking and rechecking -
they will find that baby and bring her home - if not today - maybe tomorrow -

ckrdpast - check pm

For those who had to drive so far, my heart goes out to you for the effort involved, not to mention the emotional toll this had to exact.

It just goes to show you that all the posters I've met through these boards are wonderful people.....well, most anyway, since I had the distinct DISPLEASURE to meet a certain multi-nic'd contrarian who loves to stir up trouble. But I knew that with one glance.

How sad and empty their lives are!! And how full and giving the majority is!!

I think jbellaj will be okay with no sleep and all the driving - she hugged Tim and talked to him - you should have seen her - I think she was in heaven........

Hi,
I'm not new to the boards but new to posting (as of yesterday). God bless you all for taking your personal time to look for this precious baby. Your efforts are so appreciated! I too wish the family would cooperate and so understand the frustration with the family. What is wrong with them? There is a special place in heaven for Tim Miller where he will be reunited with his precious daughter.

I just have to say the same thing - Thank you all and God Bless You.:rose:

we are not told anything about the areas that are marked - the teamleader marks it and them (I am assuming) LE decides if it is something that needs further follow up - I know dogs were brought out on at least one find yesterday - but even if Caylee was found - I don't think we would know until it is confirmed -
they are very tight lipped due to media and this going to trial someday (I do believe justice will come for Caylee)

searchers were provided with orange tape and red flags we were to "Mark" anything we thought could be of interest and then mark it on a map the team leader had so LE could investigate---onedarksun's team found something and had to wait for dogs to arrive--she will have to explain further

when we left the team to go back to the command center - the team was still waiting for the dogs to show up - but you never know - could be Caylee or it could be another missing person - or an animal -

seems like I am typing almost the same thing on two threads -
I think with being oon different teams and having the different experiences but being able to be together on the later search helps me have a better understanding of what the investigators and searchers are dealing with - I was telling the better half that I feel I have a different perspective on this board and the writings that are going on - I really beleive that yesterday was an experience I will not forget and it will help me see things in a different manner regarding this case

2nd); :patriot: :rose: You actually DID SOMETHING instead of talking about it!! We are all so proud of you but you should be proud of yourselves!!!

3rd); I too was involved heavily in a search for a murdered/ missing person here locally that made national attention and during the organized searches we were given very specific instructions about what we could discuss or how to act after finding something. That's because the focus of the search is about finding the mising person and not about someone being a hero on the search.

On that note, I truly wonder if there isn't a personality profile for the SEARCHERS from this website (and formerly CTV) because wow the people I met here online that showed up for the searches were just FANTASTIC people!!

Makes me wonder if IN Sessions would allow posters from here to wear some kind of T-shirts to promote their membership with this site so when people from this website are near where something like this has happened they can show up as a united group?

Thank you again so much for doing something. [/*]

Well, I just got home. I reported on Friday morning's search already, Friday afternoon's search lasted untl 8:30 ish... clumbsy me managed to end up in the water flooding my cell phone which prevented me from getting in touch with jbella and the others from here .... grrrr. Yesterday was hotter and muggier than Friday and lots more volunteers showed up to search. Today had plenty of searchers as well. I left after my morning search as it was just too hot for me and I didn't want to have a heat stroke. I hope to make it back Tuesday if the poor angel is not found by then. It's hard to believe that such rugged place exist smack dab in the middle of a metropolitan area, but trust me, there are quite some wilderness areas!

I know I have a lot of pm(s) that need answering, but a shower and nap are needed first. Let's all send a message to our higher power asking for a fast resolution before any searchers are injured or suffer heatstroke.

If anyone is going searching this week send me a pm so we can coordinate beforehand where to meet. I am so disappointed that I couldn't contact other wonderful people from here this weekend, but by asking everyone I meet, the word is out that we were represented.

Thank you, Searchers for slogging through the swamps in the hot humid weather to try and find Caylee!

Thank you for sharing this experience with those of us who are too far away to go ourselves.

You've done a wonderful thing. Sometimes it helps to see how much people really do care about others, even those they don't know.

Hopefully the weather will clear up so the search can continue. If anyone can find Caylee, it's Tim Miller and all of the wonderful people who give their time to help him search.

I just have to reiterate and THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! Words cannot express my gratitude but its all I have right now.

It's SO SAD because I am in Arizona and 8 months pregnant but I will tell you this much, if i lived anywhere NEAR Florida, I would have went anyway. Surely there is something I could have done and if that meant walking and walking with my swollen feet, I would have. That's how much *I* care and yet her own family doesn't care enough to just say where this little baby lies. It is so infuriating to even imagine having the capacity within to be so cold. I do not honestly know how they can live with themselves. As each day goes by I have had less and less sympathy for them and now I just have NONE. There are NO MORE excuses and lies left...it's over for me.

As for the searchers, to the person this a.m. who said ( I think it was chkrdpast?) they know justice is close, is that just a gut feeling or somewhat factual based on what you know? I'm not asking for details, as I completely understand you can't share but I just didn't know if that was your gut talking or your brain. Either way, I pray to God you are 100% correct.

Thank you, thank you, thank you again to our 5, amazing searchers!:patriot:

Hubby and I went out to search again but got there just as they were having the press conference announcing the search was over. I was so excited thinking they'd found something (well, not excited, but hopeful that Caylee would finally be brought home) and then heard they were calling it quits because they'd exhausted all of their resources and leads.

It's a disappointment, but at the same time my gut feeling is that she's not buried out in that remote area. Casey isn't industrious enough to fight the weeds, reeds, muck, bugs, and water to dispose of her child. I think she did a dump 'n run via the dumpster.

Hi all Rebel's DH drove her 4 hurs to Atlanta to meet me and drove around to go right back home. Her hubby is an incredible man. We left to drive to ckrd's house. We drove all night and had it not been for Rebel I would not have been able to make it. She kept me awake with her funny and endless stories. So shout out to you Rebel you did a great job.

We arrived 6:15am at ckrd's home and she had the coffee waiting, she has a dear heart...We freshen up changed into search clothes and off to the command center. Ckrd is VERY funny to be with. I almost wet my pants. She kept the mood light giving what we we're about to do.

When we got to the CC we signed in and awaited for our team leader to go on a search. While waiting I saw TIM!. I went over to talk to him and fell in love. For a slight man and sad eyes he gives bear hugs.:) I told him what group we represented(each and everyone of you guys) and we were here to support him(by the way Local 6 was recording all of this) anyway he said "NO you are here for CAYLEE". We talked a little bit more off camera and he called me BABE when he thanked me for coming.;)

Local 6 grab me for and interview when I was done talking with TIM. The usual questions about why we we're there, were we came from etc. However they did try to slip in questions about the Anthony's and I was a good girl and said I had NO COMMENT. But I did tell them about you guys and how you all funded the trip. TY to everyone for all you have done.

ckrd rebel and me headed out on our first search and we were one of the lucky ones because we didn't have to drive my car. We got to drive with our team leader. A off duty DET. was with us and we were lucky to have him. I'll let ckrd fill you in on him....and you will be surprised.

The search was grueling and somber. However during the mini breaks we had all have the same opinions as we do about Caylee and the Anthony's, enough said there. I did find what appeared to be a gas can that was in a pond. I tagged it and reported the find and location to the team leader. SD was notified so that they would come out and take a better look and determine if it was related to the case.

When our search was completed we went back to the CC to eat and relax. onedarksun and her DH met up with us and we exchanged stories about our search. I'll let onedarksun clue you in on her details.

I saw TIM and onedarkson and DH went over to meet him and of course I tagged along. While talking to him with he and yes more hugs TIM asked what we were doing because he said he really NEEDED us to stay to help with a special project. ckrd and rebel came over and TIM told us what the task was and we said YES. Not missing out on this for the world. After that we're all Tim's babes for staying behind with him. Tim said to go sit in the shade eat and cool down because the K-9 dogs were cooling down and when the dogs alert that they're ready to go we would leave.

We left with the search and rescue group and the part of the K-9 dogs as the other dogs waere already at the location doing their thing. Now this is where it gets a little fuzzy because at this time I'm not sure if I can go in to detail about last night and what was going to happen at first light and sure wished I could've stayed this morning. Once we find out for sure that we can spill you guys will be the first to know.

We arrived back at ckrd's house about 10ish. Long day and I went to bed. This morning we had breakfast and rebel and I hit the road home to Atlanta.

A special SHOUTOUT to ckrd and her DH, they are so kind to have opened their home to us. I will tell you this, They are the nicest couple that I have had the pleasure of being with.:rose:

onedarksun, you are a real pistol and am so glad I got to meet you and your DH. I hope the next time we all get together, and we will, it will be under happier circumstances.

I have made life long friends after this surreal expierence.

ps...Mitzi and I will be joining up with Tim on something that is unrelated to Caylee. When time comes we will let you guys know.

I agree Joan..I prayed and prayed that they would have safe travels and a safe and productive search.
I am SO heartbroken to hear that Tim has packed up and went home.

For a slight man and sad eyes he gives bear hugs. I told him what group we represented(each and everyone of you guys) and we were here to support him(by the way Local 6 was recording all of this) anyway he said "NO you are here for CAYLEE". We talked a little bit more off camera and he called me BABE when he thanked me for coming.

**********************

Wow - jbellaj! You are an awesome person along with everyone else that helped & searched with you. I haven't logged on in a few days (lost my job & been a bit depressed - I guess I really will have more time for the boards now) - and I saw this thread.

I always enjoyed trading posts with you & I so admire your determination & strength. I really wished I lived somewhat closer to Florida, because it really isn't a drive for me since I live in NW NJ...

Much respect and thanks to all of you. My hearts swells to think how selfless you all are and I am proud to have posted with you. (we seem to agree mostly :) )

Have a relaxing evening! and it so wonderful you got to meet Tim Miller - you are right about his eyes. They do look sooo sad even when he is doing good work. I think his daughter's death ripped most of the light within him but he still goes on trying to find other people's children. He is amazing, as is Mark Lunsford, Adam Walsh & Mark Klaas et al. ML has that same sad look in my view & he had brought me to tears many a time.

Good night "Babe",

No worries Day, I promise you he will be back when the water level goes down. I was slushing around in about a foot of water. When we talked with him last night he made it clear, he's not giving up and we knew last night that he was going to make a decision soon because he's really concerned about the ATV's especially. He'll be back and that's a fact.

Ok, now let me get this straight. Are you guys who went down to the search telling us that LE or Tim told you something about the investigation that they expect you to keep quiet? Seriously? And they realize you have no ties to LE - right? Or maybe I'm just confused because I'm a blonde too. :)

I remember Snoopy telling us weeks ago that LE had someone else in their sights other than Casey. So is this what "the secret" is? Does LE think someone else dumped Caylee? And do they think it's someone in the family?

First I'm very sorry about your job, times are tough out there. Also I was born and raised in Jersey, so :seeya: Jersey Girl, now we know why we get along.

This is my take on things. GOD does things for a reason we always hear. If Tim didn't lose his daughter there would not be this upstanding organization out there for familys to turn to when they have a loved one missing. JMHO I'm sure Tim would rather have his daughter but sadly that's not the case so he was determined to take his loss and do something positive with. Again JMO

That quite possibly is the most common statement by people who are actively involved in a ground search!

The searchers that I was involved with all discussed exactly that among ourselves before we actually stepped off into the fields and woods. "How are you going to feel if and when you find a deceased human lying there?".

We all brought such a variety of background experiences with us that we were able to have excellent conversations about subjects I had not thought of on my own.

I look at Tim Miller and I just know what a toll these searches have taken on him. He literally is giving his life for the sake of helping others.

Again I say to you all, what a wonderful thing you have done.

Rest, relax, and realize that YOU are NOT the reason Caylee isn't home. Someone else committed that crime.

PLEASE remember this:

You did not fail, you succeeded in searching and eliminating that area from wonder so that now energy and resources can be spent elsewhere. [/*]

I am so honored to "know" each of you, albeit via a message board. Hearing that over a thousand searchers turned out brought tears of pride to my eyes, it is so heartening to see the kindness of strangers for Caylee and her case.
My prayers for your safety followed each of you to Florida. I'm glad you all searched, and left safely. Too bad nothing has been found yet, but at least the process of elimination is well under way.
:patriot:
:rose: Caylee knows you loved her enough to search, she and God.:rose:

Oh - good Lord. Is that a protest or a "vigil"? If it's the latter, I'm shocked they're still having those given all the information that's come out in this case. And the information forthcoming.....

Can't you have a vigil for deceased people? To light a candle for them and pray for their souls?

Always only my own opinions

ETA: from the Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary

c: evening or nocturnal devotions or prayers —usually used in plural

Also from the Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary:

Main Entry: vigil light
Function: noun
Date: circa 1931

: a candle lighted devotionally (as in a Roman Catholic church) before a shrine or image —called also vigil candle

I want to just say a big thank you to my fellow posters that adventured down to Orlando and searched for our girl this weekend. I am relieved to hear you are all safe at home again. If I wasn't so far away with so many obligations, I would have proudly joined you ladies. You are truly heroes and there is no doubt that Caylee felt of all the love you carried with you on your journey. Thank you again for your sacrifices for this angel on behalf of all us. :rose:

This is my take on things. GOD does things for a reason we always hear. If Tim didn't lose his daughter there would not be this upstanding organization out there for familys to turn to when they have a loved one missing. JMHO I'm sure Tim would rather have his daughter but sadly that's not the case so he was determined to take his loss and do something positive with. Again JMO [/*]

I think every time Tim finds what he is searching for he is finding his daughter.

I am so honored to "know" you people. You are an inspiration and hard evidence that the public does care about caylee. I wish i could have gone and helped, but i have my own little one to care for. You are all heroes, and there is a little girl in heaven feeling that love.

I am beyond jealous that you got to meet Tim and Yuri...but i'll get over it:D

God bless you 5 and I promise that if I am ever in a close enough proximity to a search for a missing person, I will volunteer my time, energy, and money, as you have all inspired me!.

Hi everyone. I'm ALIVE. Just barely but I am. lol

First I had no idea that there was another poster who was going out to search this weenend from the In Session message boards. So I want to thank you. Lynden1000 and your husband for your efforts in the search as well.

toadmomma. I am glad you are ok. We were really worried when you hadn't contacted us. Can't wait to talk to ya. Thank you for your efforts in searching for Caylee.

Special shout outs and thanks to the very very special posters who helped make the trip possible and a little easier and less stressful. You know who you are but I'll post your names after I read through all my PM's tomorrow so I do not miss anyone and can think a little more clearly. Again. Thank you and special hugs. Bigs ones.

Now to those posters I was very fortunate to meet up with on this trip. Chkrdpast, jbellaj, onedarksun. I am so very thankful for being able to have met you and I am extremely appreciative for all you did and all you gave. You are honestly some of the sweetest, most loving, kind hearted caring people I have met. You all also have some of the best humorous personalities that kept me in sticthes when I needed it to keep me going and when I didn't. lol Watch out the jbella!! Alegators do come on land. lmao  RUN!!!

I do not want to miss posting anything about my experience of the trip and the search so Iwill save that for tomorrow as well. I fear if I try and post everything tonight I will forget things and people etc. I am wiped out. I have got to get some sleep. Is it called sleep when you just pass out? lol

See I almost forgot something in my thank yous to the posters.

I would like to give another special thanks and hugs to those who wanted to go search but could not go for various reasons. I along with the others in our group carried you in our hearts and thought of you often. We relied on you and your support during this sereal and unfortunate task to find precious little Caylee so that she can receive the dignity and justice she deserves.

If I have forgotten anyone from the boards tonight. I am truly sorry. It is not purposeful Honest.

With that said. Thank ALL! of you AGAIN. I will see you all tomorrow.

Please God Let Tim and the TES team with the help of LE and ALL searchers. Find Caylee and bring her home. :rose:

I am trying to think of anyway I can help from where I am located.

How about if we all put in request with shows like Greta to feature Tim and TES on a program. Not just a regular interview we have been seeing, but one in which he shows his equipment and what it does.

I do not know about everyone but I find it fascinating and would like to know what he has and what he needs as far as equipment goes. It could hopefully bring in some more donations and spark more interest in searchers like you all whom I am so proud of. Just like your stories are so interesting and the fact I believe your party of five will be growing BECAUSE of what you have shared. These searches help deter crime just like John Walsh does........It is getting to where you cannot hide a body anywhere these days.....not that I would want to.

Just trying to help you all anyway I can.

That is a GREAT idea.. I'm here to help.
