No friggen way any airline would allow that to happen post 9/11. And if the body had an odor that remained in the car, it would have had the odor in the bag and been noticeable. I just don't see that scenario happening.

Cadaver dogs - Some dogs, called cadaver dogs, are trained in detecting the odour of decomposing bodies. Dogs' noses are so sensitive that they are even capable of detecting bodies that are under running water.
Cadaver dogs detect the decomposition of tissue. They are not Search and Rescue dogs that are trained to find live bodies. They work quickly and are very accurate. They can locate buried or drowned bodies at varying depths. The training they receive is intensive and specific.
There is more info at
http://www.k9centre.com.au/search___rescue_dogs.html
they talk about termite dogs they can smell through drywall, concrete, panelling, dirt ,etc [/*]
Thank you luvin! Something I won't have to wonder about.

They went in the backyard on the 16th or 17th of July or both days.
The cadaver dogs came in and they lifted all the pavers and they removed dirt for samples. They said they dug but didn't specify amount.
She is not in that yard, they would have found her then.imo

Now I'm wondering tho...how long does it take before the smell of decomp goes away?
I've seen programs where bodies have been for a long time with no smell. There was that case where the woman killed her husband and kept the bedroom he was in closed off. It was a year before anyone knew he was dead and gone, the neighbors did say they smelled something in the beginning. But, after that there was no smell.
Yucky subject, but, how long does a body smell before it smells no more?

Decomposition is rapid in the warm, moist climate of central Florida. In June a tiny body such as Caylees could take only a week or two to become skeletonized

So did I , but on the video she just says foundation and points back. Both a part of the house is there and the playhouse is also in that direction , so who knows for sure.
The thing is if Caylee were buried back there someone would have noticed a big spot of dirt (ground) that was disturbed. IMO

There was also mention of bouganvilla bush that was moved from beside the house next to the pool, to make way for the deck box that Caylee had learned to climb on. Cindy said George had to move the bush to alongside the back fence, and that is why there was soft turned dirt in the area, but a little later she said he moved the bush about a year ago. I have transplanted trees and know that if a tree was dug up a year ago, the earth no longer looks "fresh dug"

Now that you said it I believe that's correct. Someone needs to tear up that back yard. I think Caylee death happened in the pool and I don't think Casey was there. Cindy spinning too much in the beginning with the ppol and things being dug up and storage sheds moved to places they weren't at when Greta was there. She prbably had more truth mixed in with lies at the beginning than she does now.
I'm more than willing to change my opinion with more info.

Yeah I don't recall it being in a hot climate, I thought there was snow in one story I had seen. But the husband was in the bedroom of the house. she put something at the bottom of the door(blanket or towel) and then stacked a whole bunch of stuff up the hall and just never went back in the room.

I didn't hear that part, I stopped the video at the foundation part so I could have missed it, but I do remember the removal of the plant, I thought that the whole side where she was pointing to was a flower bed along the house.

I originally thought Casey had left Caylee playing in the pool while she played on Myspace, freaked, and tried unsuccessfully to call mom and dad to bail her out, as usual. Getting no answer, she buried her, dug her up and placed her in the trunk. The cloroform is something she used in the past instead of paying for a babysitter...

That would have been about 2 1/2 weeks later. After about a week there wouldnt be much left of the body, just bones. If she put the poor child in a bag, I can see that happening though, but the car was abandoned on the 27 of june and the concrete poured on July 4th, and she didnt have Amys car until July 8th, IIRC. So from June 27th until July 8th, Casey was pretty much wheeless, unless she had help, which I doubt.

The neighbors heard the fight Sunday night June 15th. Morales thought Casey might have spent the night at his and Amy's but is not sure. But, George said he saw Casey and Caylee leaving the house Monday aroung 12 noon. When Cindy got home that evening she noticed the pool cover was off, and the ladder in the pool, even though she had closed off the pool on Sunday after her swim with Caylee. So SOMETHING was going on with the pool on Monday, after George left for work around 1:30. The "flurry of phone calls" started at 3:03 the same day.

Luvinlife, Have you been trying to correct the link or the belief that there is not a concrete slab in the Anthony's backyard? I am open. AND I understand it was an unsubstantiated tip

The concrete thing, it was a rumor they never poured concrete, they laid down the concrete pavers.

Cool site.
Oh Carlos Padilla, not Leonard. I give Carlos a little more credence. And Pavers, not concrete. I still dont understand his comment about the dogs not hitting in the backyard, though.

I am not sure about that either. Maybe they dug where ever the dogs hit and found nothing, or maybe they have a different reaction to a body rather than just decomp smell. I have no idea, or maybe they just didn't want to say at that point, what the dogs did or didn't hit on, it was only 10 days into the investigation.

Im sure at the onset of the investigation, their main concern was to find the childs body, pronto. Now, it has become a science of clues and evidence.
I remember reading a while ago about a tracking dog and a cadaver dog finding a single escaped convict in the deep woods. Apparently the inmate had fallen and injured himself, and gangrene had set in. Unique case in that both dogs were able to track to the live man at the same time.

I agree that is quite possible, I just wish we had more info, where Casey had been spotted, where she had been shopping in the first days leaving her parents. I guess we will have to wait for court.

sadly i think that is possible also.
i also feel it's possible George helped Casey hid the body and they know where she is buried, i for the life of me can not amagine being able to sleep or eat knowing my grandaughter was missing and possibly laying in the brush or dump some where, yet they do not want to have her body searched for , i have no doute they know she is no longer alive. can they actually want to save Caseys sorry butt so bad that the no longer care about Caylee being brought home for a proper buriel? SAD

I just don't know about the grandparents. Cindy has really been or a rampage lately. I don't know how much she knows or if she is in such deep denial that she refuses to listen to the evidence that LE has found. George...being a retired cop he knows all of the tricks in the book. Now when the trunk of the car was opened George,of all people, would have recognized that smell. I've heard there is no other smell like it. It clings to you no matter how many showers you take or how many times you wash your clothes.
It does seem like the most important thing for the Anthonys right now is protecting Casey. I do believe that they have run after her cleaning up her messes all of her life. I just don't understand how they can even let her live in their home when she refuses to give them any information. Casey acts like nothing is going on and her parents must act the same way when they are in the house.
If Casey was my daughter and she wouldn't tell me where my granddaughter is she would wish she had told me. If she refused then she would be out of my house with her belongings following right behind her. I'm dead serious. Before I booted her out I would probably beat the chit out of her. My granddaughter...if Caylee was mine...is only 3 yrs old and she would be my number one priority. These grandparents should be ashamed of themselves.

He is throwing out possibilities.... just like all of us do here and other blogs. He is not stating facts, just his theories as new information comes out.

You linked to an article that talks about a team of dogs that search for the LIVING and the dead. Those dogs are trained differently from CADAVER dogs.
Enough. Click. [/*]
Anakerie, I think the problem is coming in because some dogs can be trained as both S&R dogs and cadaver dogs. My *-i-l trains police dogs and his own dog is dual trained. He has a different command for each discipline. I know if his dog is given the command to find remains, he ignores everything else. He is amazing and we have great fun testing him.
