If there was decomp in the trunk, flies would have been attracted to it. The flies that stayed too long in the trunk died from the chloroform but that didn't stop more flies from coming. The day the trunk was opened, flies that were not killed yet by the chloroform flew out.

I wish I knew more about entymology. I guess there are so many factors and variables that come into play here, if the trunk was air tight, how fast the flies reproduce, the levels of chloroform ect, I am sure they have had a forensic entomologist check out what was found. There has been so much thrown out there but very little that we actually know. So frustrating, and if there wasn't a beautiful little Caylee and this was a just a book, it would be absolutely fascinating. imo, moo

I still don't think Caylee died in that trunk or decomposed in that trunk. I can't get past the dogs in the backyard, indicating that a decomposing body was in the backyard. Then there's the shovel. I tend to believe that Caylee was buried in the backyard first...where she began to decompose. Then "someone" removed her from the backyard (knowing the police would be looking back there once they were contacted) and put her little decomposing body into the trunk....and there the decomposing smells, etc. transferrred to the trunk. Not sure how long she was in there but long enough to cause the smell. From there her little body was driven away and taken elsewhere. I'm curious.....I wonder if that car was driven anywhere AFTER it was picked up from the tow yard.

That was me - about the hornets. I helped my G'pa kill hornets with it in his orchard and we put it on nests in the attic. They were dead as doornails.

I have another small personal experience with Chloroform. I went to a museum summer program once about insects (this was in the mid 70's - I was in jr high) In order to collect nice specimens, we each made a "killing jar" - it was a mason jar with a chloroform soaked rag in the bottom and a plaster platform about mid way up with little holes in it.

Any insect, no matter what it was, succombed to the fumes in the bottle.

So - I'm quite sure there would have been no flies, flying out of the trunk if chloroform was there.

Needless to say, I didn't become a bug scientist! It was too gruesome for me!

So I have to ask then..Zanny had access to the car...to the shovel..to the backyard at the Anthony's?..It appears Casey asked for that shovel..what the heck???Someone doesnt need to die in a spot to leave decomp scent..but dead bodies do leave that scent behind no matter what stage they were in..1 day..2 days..3 days..4 days..so on and so on..Nasty reality..dead bodies leave their scent behind!! Somehow..I dont think the kidnapper left all this evidence??

Okay Winnie...first, prayers for you Sig. other,
Leonard said that Casey told lee and Lee told Cindy what had REALLY happened afterthe results were out last week. ( sounds like the "revelation" of the nanny kidnap before the 911 to me!).
I can't get to ABC to se the post...the site keeps flitting back and forth between two pages and won't stop, so IDk about the post.
Apparently, Ga andCiA posted at least part of the bons for casey ( so Cindy "fibbed" again when she said she didn't know.
Savannah Star has a friend w/DCF in Florida who says it is unlikely that Caylee will recieve a Guardian ad litem just due to the fact that they are scarce and have to be utilized according to "pressing need"...

And why would they use this oddball cleaner if they didn't think it was not just a regular stain such as a coffee spill or something else that normal people might have had in the trunk to cause a stain?
To use something like cloroform to clean out a regular stain and denying decomp smell in the trunk makes no sense to me.
Why not just use Resolve and maybe some Fabreeze?

Hi All... Spent the day with my 21 year old darling of a daughter. I'm mostly caught up here but when I left I missed a couple things that I'm curious about.

1) What was the deal with someone posting last night , in the late night thread, about some credit card fraud and the perpetrator being from Orlando???

2) What is the news about 20 more supoena's being handed out and more charges coming forth re: stolen money, c cards, etc., and it being different people than Amy?

Can anyone answer these two quesions for me please?

The chemist guy said that chloroform is heavier than air, so I think that because the trunk is not air tight maybe enough fresh air would get in the trunk to keep the flies alive??? I have no idea it is too weird.

I am listening, and watching T.V. which thanks to you Fellow Americans that keeps us her in Canada, Ontaio in the loop!!

So far I have to say, that this show 20/20 is not really about helping out the parents, but maybe to shed some light as to all the information than we the public do not know, and are not required knowing at this time.

Any thoughts? Also (1) last question, why was she allowed to be out on Bond today, if the police feel that she is guilty, is that the norm in the Sates or is there a hidden motive behind this decision.?

Very very difficult search but not even close to saying they are giving up.

SUpports family with hoping that Caylle is alive but he does not think that is the case.

Searching every inch of property they can search.

Greata asked Tim that when his daughter vanished was there anything that made him NOT want to work with the police.

What upsets him is that if Casey gave Caylee to somewhat she trusted he would have to believe that she would have her name and pphone # so she could check on Caylee. Can't imagine anyone giving their child to someone without getting their contact.

Hoping that next week they can go to a funeral but thinks there is a slim chance with water conditions.

Yes, i have been going over them. The ballgame is sucking so I came to read here.

The list of charges from the 3 different cc's are not in date order. I need to type them up in order.

They zig zag from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando.

5 tickets from Delta Air. 3 from Airtranair and 2 from Spirit Air.

AT&T charges but it says Texas and I was told that was their corporate office billing place.

An online place called BMC Metro (Bill Matrix) which is a site to pay cell phone bills.

There are so many I'm nuts even looking at them

There is a charge for the Catch restaurant in Weston, Fl. Where is that?

One says Liquor Store, Orlando for $168.00

Charges for Saks and Neiman Marcus for over $10,000 also Corp offices listed.

Several Target Orlando. Chevron, Orlando

Toys R Us $27.53

Anyway a ton more. All of these were given to the fraud investigator here this past Wednesday who sent them to Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale LE with specific request to see if they may be connected to the Casey Anthony case.

These were NOT on our cc cards but cc cards obtained with husbands SS#

Geez, if you follow this case as I was then you find out someone stole your ID to obtain CC cards then you get the list of charges it's hard not to go hmmmm

Oh and a charge to Greyhound Bus which was the last charge I believe.

Maybe I am nuts. lol

eta. The Catch Restaurant was for #325.57 in Weston, Fl.

Well, in the medical professions one doesn't get taught "How to Cut Up a Body 101", but there is extensive learning of anatomy and physiology that the general public doesn't have. Any trained medical professional could be a good butcher if he/she needed a second job. MO because I have anatomical and physiological knowledge even though I don't routinely cut up human bodies. ;-) . I could do a mean chicken cut-up but I prefer to have the butcher do it so all I have to do is season and cook.

This is the very first I've heard about G going to work - and I've been looking for that. Where can I find more about that?

My speculation has been - G picked up the car at about 1:00pm. Took it home and C/G started cleaning it out. C didn't get hold of Amy on the phone until after 5pm...that's several hours right there. G didn't com home until just before 10pm - Lee arrived around 8:00pm and Cindy and Casey came home shortly thereafter.

I think they used this time to clean and cover - G got a whiff of the car before 1:00 in the afternoon. The dead body 911 call wasn't until 9:44pm - Then it was more time before LE got there.

About wetness in the trunk - I think you're on to something here. Perhaps this is EXACTLY WHY chloroform was used - it evaporates very quickly and would be less likely to be wet when LE came. (It's similar to finger nail polish remover - if you spill some on a counter, you can watch it evaporate - leaving no damp spot)

It was something about...if the police had done their job, Caylee would be with people that loved her....

I didn't notice it on NG chicago but I did read where a blogger said the searchers were told to keep an eye out for rolled rugs, duffle bags, etc because that is where evidence has been found previously.

And saying that they dont care about her...just a manipulative ploy to gain their full attention and fill them with guilt so that they will cater to her every need. And it worked. Because Cindy is so racked with guilt and her own baggage. I think she even wants approval from her daughter and more than likely ready to forgive her daughter because she blames herself for raising a murderer...maybe i dont have that right.

Casey is better off in jail..she is better off anywhere away from her parents, her brother and friends.

I'm sure she learned a bit about the law as influenced by her father...Baez thinks so...he says she is very smart and knows a lot about the law.
