Lenny Padilla just offered $50,000 cash to anyone that can provide info that will lead them to Caylee's body. He believes she is dead. You do not have to give a name. Just take them to the body.

I've been thinking along those lines, too. Nerves are as raw as they can get in the Anthony house, and I just can't see the three of them languishing around in the house together. This is going to kill Cindy and George before it's over, but the cool one, Casey, is not going to be phased by any of it. Everything's going her way, and she'll probably end up with the house after all.

I have no interest in learning more about the Anthonys but I might read a book by Leonard Padilla about some of the interesting scoundrels he has had as clients. I like criminal prosecution / criminal defense war stories. Back when I did OJ legal analysis for our local talk radio station, I read F. Lee Bailey's books for background and I predicted several of his trial showmanship maneuvers based on prior trial shenanigans he described in his books. I also like true crime novels written by the police detective, prosecutor and/or news reporter that pursued the bad guy.

My husband would not read them; he likes the Star Trek / space opera genre. IMO it is just a matter of personal taste.

As hard as it is for any family to have to face the possibility of their child/g-child being dead, most want them to be found...whether alive or dead. So, you have to ask why Cindy wouldn't want her found? She wants her found ALIVE because she knows she isn't and will never be found. She does NOT want Caylee to be found DEAD because she knows she is and is afraid of what evidence her body may produce. JMO.....it's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Or, Nicole, with evidence to show that Caylee is dead, what would be the legal or strategic reason for LE to say that there's still a possibility she's alive?

I vaguely recall- in the beginning - Cindy mentioned something about photography being Casey's hobby. Maybe Casey had access to a darkroom? Many schools have darkrooms.

The school Tony goes to is a media, game, production oriented school - they may have a darkroom - but they don't have a science dept!

I know it's a stretch - I think Casey was a picture taker/poster - not a 'photographer'.

But all us know that already. JMO [/*]I do wonder where she does expect people to look???
Either they ( the Anthony Family) have that information and are choosing to withhold things from the public which could help find Caylee, thus placing her at more risk the longer they leave her "missing".
OR, they have no idea where she is. If that is the case, how can she possibly "know" she is fine? How can you reject help that is looking for remains since you have NO WAY to know she is still alive?
It all just defies logic on every level. I do get that she MAY be in denial, but what does she expect people to do? Look door to door enmasse across the nation and beyond?
I'm baffled! I wish Cindy or someone would give people a viable direction to search instead of wasting everyones time acting outraged by people seeking information to utilize in helping find caylee.
At least Tims searches could serve to PROVE that Caylee is not dead near the home. They could prove that LE needs to step outside the box with their thinking. The process of elimination would at least create a starting point.
JMO.
FWIW, I am backing the science, nothing leads me to believe Caylee is still alive. I'd love to see science get it wrong on this one though.

Lets just say for sh*ts-n-giggles that the choloroform was used for photography. Easily checked out right? Did Casey own any darkroom equipment? What kidn of cameras was she using.
If cholorform was used for something other than harming her child then the only other thing that would make sense to me is meth production. One of my first thoughts when this all started was that Caysee probably had a drug problem. My thought was based on her partying lifestyle, lack of a real job, and her stealing of money and lying.

I can't help but go to basics here and while I might get flamed for questioning the Constitution (and normally I would defend it to my death) it bothers me that the entire bonding rules are based upon what???? Money. She is possibly bonded out why????? For Money earned by some other entity. Criminals and innocents can have their freedom "bought". It just seems wrong to me. If there is enough evidence to be arrested, then why would their freedom be based on how much money they can pay the system? And how does that affect those who are poor and don't have the cash or backing to utilize it through no fault of their own other than income?

I keep hearing in my head "money is the root of all evil". It just seems that so many things in our lives now are not based on morals, decency, truth and the former "American way" but are based on the almighty dollar. Enough money and you can do just about anything you want. I know...I feel somewhat bitter tonight, but I get so disappointed sometimes at how we operate nowadays.

That doesn't jive with the way other victims have felt.
They have, to my knowledge, always wanted their loved one found, even if dead. They always say the "not knowing" is worse. Of course they always hold out hope that they are alive, but they NEED to know. Cindy seems content if Caylee is never found. JMO, so don't throw anything at me.

Nope...I don't buy it. I've felt from the get-go that Cindy has known little Caylee is dead. Now she's fearful that they may find her little body and evidence of what happened to her.

And, let me throw this out there. IF she thinks she's truly been kidnapped, doesn't she seem awfully "content and calm" with that thought? I'd be a basketcase to think "someone" had possession of my g-child and I had no clue how they were treating her...if they were torturing her, sexually molesting her, whatever It just doesn't seem to bother her to think of her g-child being kidnapped. And what happened with the "I'll knock on every door until I find her". Yeah, right. She's a "basketcase", but not over Caylee. She's a "basketcase" over the thought that her daughter (and maybe others) will spend the rest of her days in prison. I haven't seen ONE PLEA for these kidnappers to return Caylee, have you? If I truly thought someone was holding her, I'd be on tv every night pleading with them to bring her home....instead of being on tv trying to explain every piece of evidence away and blasting people who were trying to help me find her.

Usually the last few minutes of NG are dedicated to our young men and women in the military who have lost their lives, this is possibly the last two minutes or so.

It is sad to see these young men and women fighting for our country, and then see someone like Casey out partying like she didn't have a care in the world. I bet Casey thinks in a few months this will all be over and she can go out and have fun again. No child to worry about anymore!

Casey being a pathological liar is probably giving LE more problems than they want ...

If someone starts lying to LE about an incident, and they verify the story is a bunch of lies ... they use those lies as a COG, and work from there.

But, where it ferrets out that this person is just a downright liar about everything to everyone, and has been for years ... then the lies in the interview about the incident do not have the same value as they would if the person were honest in the past, and only lying about the incident.

I do believe it is a self presevation thing at the moment for the Anthonys to believe that Caylee is alive. When my g/daughter died, I was in self preservation mode too until I got to South Africa and had to make funeral arrangements. The only way I got through a 15 hour plane trip was to talk myself into believing it was all a mistake. I know that sounds crazy and, believe me, I was crazy at the time. Watched Nancy Grace. Padilla needs to just stay out of the lime light. He has nothing to add or do at this point. My S/O made a comment tonight after watching him. he said he was playing coy with Nancy Grace about who it was that called him because that gives him an excuse to stay involved in the case. he thinks Padilla is withholding who it is so he can keep saying. "ha! I know who it is and you don't" type thing. So they will keep asking him back and asking him for info.

This is just a huge mess and it should be about finding Caylee and getting justice for her. Everyone else needs to take the back burner.

It makes sense....and the 31 days with no LE involvement doesn't help. Like some others have said previously, this case started out cold.

I just have to force myself not to get down over her getting out on bail. She has the right to get out on bail and I have to remind myself that it doesn't mean LE won't charge her with more serious charges. I was really discouraged the first time she got out. They put her back in and I think will continue to do so until they get her for the big ticket!!

We will keep your family and husband in our thoughts and prayers.:rose:

I can surely understand how you feel, that is what makes me so angry through all of this. I think of our men and women in the military, or someone like your husband and I too want to scream.

I can see having someone defend you if you really are innocent, but when all signs point to the fact someone is guilty, how do these attorneys sleep at night.

Wouldn't all this money being spent on Caylee be better spent making the world a better place or helping someone like your husband and family. My husband is recovering from cancer surgery, luckily his outcome looks good, but it still is a difficult road trying to get through to this point.

When it's all said and done, even if it takes years, the only thing that matters is that LE builds this case right now; we all know what we've seen and what we've heard. cindy anthony should have never tried to do what she's done. From the 31 days fwd.

The other day; in one of her interviews she mentioned knowing just where Caylee was the whole month of JUNE. I'll bet ya did Cindy. You just keep right on putting your face out there in the media. That camera is your rope. Use it. We are all watching we have long memories and we know what we've heard. Some of us are really good at detecting liars. It's unfortunate for you Cindy; but it's true. I suggest a good Atty, and a zipper. [/*]

You are right jenny (my DD's name) and understand about you not watching. Take care of yourself we need you here. I know it's one hour that I become totally animated, so to speak, and DD knows to stay away from me during NG time. Tonight was good tho. Nancy got her licks in and I like her because she's totally for the victim, meaning Caylee.
And as many people that is possible to be focused on that angel is wonderful. She at least has kept the focus on Caylee and not on CA. Even tho CA is brought up, it's to show the ridiculousness of her behavior about her own grandaughter.
She has not let the focus, that I've seen, be on anyone but Caylee. She always brings the focus back to her.
I'm with you too on the detecting liars and the psyhcologist tonight explained very well how Casey may have become such a good liar...by watching her mom Cindy.
I knew Casey was lying from day one....when I heard Caylee had been missing for 31 days and she'd been doing her own investigating...yeah right! And then with all that has come out since....well, all I can say about Casey and Cindy is liar, liar, pants on fire!

I do so hope a guardian ad litem is appointed for Caylee. There appears to be no responsible person from her family to be able to speak for her.

Yeah, kell, you know what the kids in Charlie Brown always hear when an adult speaks? That's what happens to me when I read some posts. And, also, remember during that Town Hall debate between Hillary and Barrack when he did that motion where he just flicked that annoying thing off his shoulder? That's what I picture in my mind when I see some posters' names. [/*]

 Funny thing is, it's different names for each individual poster. As it should be. :)

I didn't hear it but will DVR it at 10...
Interesting..
Padilla bails Casey out they refuse to help him and Casey refuses to speak
Tim Miller comes in to help search and we all know what happens to him..
Now it is Baez ?
Does anyone see a pattern here? ..

This case is weighing on my soul in the oddest of ways. I can't quite describe it. I am a law graduate. Have always been fascinated by true crime and the hows and the whys. But I think Casey's silence and the constant leaking of information is what truly has me thinking about this case. Obviously it is attached to the fate of an adorable little girl. [/*]

I agree! There have been many cases that I have followed, but this one is truly a fascinating story. Melanie Maguire was very fascinating to me as well. I guess it is the normalcy that you see in pictures becomes fiction and people who have so much going for them throwing their lives and others away. It boggles my mind, but is fascinating at the same time.

I think we are a rare breed. My mother is the only other one in my family that follows cases like this. No one else I know does. That is why I so enjoy these boards.

The Anthonys have retained their own CD attorney. He will represent them only, not Casey.

I just don't think the laptop would be at the Anthony home considering Casey hadn't been there in a while. I thought it was at Tony's. I doubt Casey would have left it in the abandoned car?

Oh dear. You clearly need to do some research or else you would not embarrass yourself with such an ignorant statement!
Judge Strickland made it very plain that due to the unusual circumstances in this case, a child missing and the mother telling lie after lie about that disappearance, he wanted to not allow Casey any bond at all. However, because she was charged with child neglect and the legislature has predetermined certain conditions for the charge, he was forced by the law to set bond conditions! Judge Strickland wanted no bond for Casey Anthony, but his hands were tied. so, he did the next best thing. He set that bond as high as he legally was allowed. Baez argued that he in fact, by his ruling, made it impossible for Casey to exercise her constitutional right to make bond. HA! We see that is not true as Casey has now twice been bonded out.
I suggest that you go back and review the facts of the case.

if cindy didn't even know about the bond being posted, what home do you think casey is going to be confined to?

is it possible casey will not be going home to cindy's house?
tia [/*]

I thought I answered you, sorry if I didn't.
She has to go to GPs as far as we know, I think they would need to ask a judge to change that.
I think the GPs paid the bond from money from selling exclusive pictures of Caylee to the media and they just don't want anyone to know about it.
Like Baez saying the petty crimes bond being posted and he didn't know about it, because he was with GPs till 12:30 last night. I am not buying that story. Doesn't make a bit of sense.

This witch has never said she doesn't know who took her Daughter. She says the she does but can't say because of A,*, or C, and sometimes a Z gets tossed in there as well.

People are more than tired of seeing her smug butt walk out of jail. And pack her backpack for her daily field trips to her attorneys office where she sits - all day long, and still doesn't say anything. Remaining silent while her mouthpiece of a Mom spews how saintly she is.

There are times when we all disagree like CRAZY and yet there is this level of respect maintained for our extemely differinte opinions. But there are some posters who LOVE LOVE LOVE putting others down for disagreeing with their views. I'm always amazed at how it effects the mood of the whole board! Too bad that Cindy doesn't seem to be the type to ask for help from this organization or some other, where they would have a spokesperson to speak for them (rationally) and help them in other ways, too. They (Anthonys) sure appear to NEED the types of help the foundation could provide.
