WOW!!! I just finished reading "The Lace Reader" by Brunonia Barry. What a great book! In the story, a women returns to her hometown of Salem, MA after a 15 year absence. Her elderly aunt, a lace reader(psychic), has gone missing. Later the old woman is found drowned. It's a suspenseful, exciting book with many interesting characters. I highly recommend it.

Thank you, TealMermaid -- I am always on the lookout for a good book. It's on my list of books to buy and, hopefully, I can find a paperback at my local used book store soon.

While looking for more info on The Lace Reader I came across some really interesting background information on the author and how the book came to be published. She and her husband originally published it themselves in small quantity! I hope your return to click on the link and read it:
