Police: Man Imprisoned Family for 3 Years
Georgia Man Allegedly Held Wife, 4 Kids in Insect-Filled Mobile Home

http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/story?id=5572299&page=1

The article says that the man "held his wife and his four children, ages 9, 12, 13 and 14, in a mobile home filled with garbage and insects." And the mobile home was in a mobile home park where none of the neighbors suspected what was going on...

i live near this park. he was paying 450.00 monthly rent. working in chicken plant, very low paid jobs there. i would like to know if the the two older children, who were said not to be his, were collecting money from father, government, etc. and that was what he was living on.
wife says he came home with glitter on his body?? sounds like a stripper to me.
the wife was smart enough to list the children as being home schooled and renewing the paperwork yearly. franklin county did not do anything more but file the papers it seems.

I just watched it. Enough to make a grown man cry. I did notice the refrigerator was jammed with food. So the wife didn't decide the children would stave while he was off with the "other" woman. It must have been the affair that was the deciding factor. Those poor children. [/*]

I didn't see a video but it does seem awful strange she only escaped after he started having an affair...the wife and kids went to N Carolina and she didn't say a word? No one in her family ever visited her? The only thing that really gets me about this story is that he lived in the filth too!

If the wife was chained or bound in some way, then I agree she was held captive. But..........If she wasn't, then she is just as guilty as the man!!!!!!!!!!!

in case anyone is still following this story, a little bit of good news from lavonia, georgia. the landlord of that trailer park is cleaning up the park, planting bushes, shrubs and trees, putting in a play area for the children, cleaning up the junk by the dumster, etc. it may be a better place to live for the families who are there now.
the man is still in jail with a public defender.
the bar with the topless girls with glitter, one who must have been his new girlfriend, is now closed for good.
so out of tragedy, some good news.
