Why the need to keep repeating the question? I've answered it twice, now three times. The words straight from both the DA's and Sheriff's offices are all I need. They've said repeatedly they are investigating everyone close to Michelle. It's SOP.

I've seen posters claim they hear it but then other posters claim it is heard on an ENHANCED version. I've never heard it and I doubt Nancy or her staff have heard it. The media aren't going to report something that their boss/editor doesn't hear. If it was there, LE would have mentioned it by now.

You might think it is true but without a link it is just a rumor and not a very credible one considering the time that has elapsed and not a single mention in the media that would help validate your claim.

Hi Guys,

There seems to be a couple of things that certain posters on this board do not know.

#1, The very first broadcast of the 911 tape via local stations in N.C. was the tape that has since then been enhanced. Subsequent "broadcasts" of the "911 tape" got shorter and shorter. I can't remember when Nancy's show aired, but since she didn't mention ANYTHING about ANYTHING that Cassidy said, I can only suppose that she had a later "edited" version.

#2, I have corresponded with "local" reporters. Not a single one made a secret of the fact that they had been asked to NOT report all that they know.

I doubt that any of this will make any difference to some, but perhaps it will help clarify for others.

ok. I understand now. The bottom line is that Nancy would report it if LE wanted her to report it. LE either didn't hear it or determined it is not relevant. The idea that LE tells the media secrets and then asks them not to report them is a crock. Some posters must be too young to remember Watergate.

It's pure bunk. If the local media found out the tape was enhanced by LE, the local media would get their own enhanced version to see what was on it. If it's there, they would certainly report it and the story would be huge. WD is right in that regard.

For the purposes of this board, I don't think that it really matters. It is enough for me, that it is safely in the hands of N.C.LE.

I will admit, that in order for me to hear most of Cassidy in the background, I had to use headphones and play with the treble. That is the only reason that I have ever been able to come up with, that the original tape was released at all. Cassidy was chattering away in the background and most were concentrating on Meredith.

I don't think everyone caught it all right off the bat. Funny tho, a lot of people with kids Cassidy's age...got it all instantly.

The 911 call initially released was picked up and copied by various new sources who then cut it up to fit into specific time spots. The agency that released the call has not gone back and shortened it.

And the name of the local reporter is....? The only time this is done is when details are asked to be witheld from the public so that LE has an ace up their sleeve for determining false confessions.
