I am not going to be able to answer this list of questions for two reasons.

1) I have become the face and the voice for this case, but the Sheriff still sets the path and the strategy for our Office. Last week he asked me to begin limiting exposure to this case until we have something significant to address.

2) Your questions and thoughts are very on-point and I could never answer all of your questions. All of my responses would only generate more questions and I just am not able to answer all of the questions that the group will have.

I would like to ask the board to help in another area. I saw that there was a thread called "theories", but I have never read any of the posts. Can you have the board compile the 4 or 5 best supported theories and email them to me so that I can see if you guys have thought of anything that we missed? There has been so much time and thought spent by you guys that there may be some very original thoughts that we have not discussed.

I'm sure Sheriff Brown has his reasons for wanting Capt. Sutherland to hold off right now. Remember, they are trying to eliminate his resources and connections.

may i suggest that a cutoff date (again, i know) be set up . . . perhaps thursday . . . for anyone else to post their theories and then take a look at what we've got? i kinda expect he's looking to double check every possible (& somewhat rational) scenario . . . and heck that has been done here in spades (no pun intended)!

also, i've been thinking . . . what about someone that wants to anonymously submit a theory (with no fear of retribution or ridicule) . . . hmmmmm . . . get ready with new nics or is there another way anyone can think of :confused:

henry, Anyone can submit their theory to RS. All I ask is if they do, to please let you or me know so we won't be submitting double theories.

Thursday isn't a good day for me. Friday would be better.

geez..... I find it really hard to recommend any one of my many theories because we are missing so much key information.

#1 missing tidbit(s) - what kind of contact, if any, did ML and CL have between the rape allegation and Dec 13? and then what kind of contact on Dec 14? We unfortunately don't have access to the communications data, and presumably LE does. Also, related to that, were there (multiple) calls between CSL and CL between the hours of 5:30 and 7:00 on Dec 14

#2 missing tidbit - why a ticket to El Paso? RS said on his last Q&A session that LE knows the answer to this. Well, we don't!

#3 missing tidbit - all the wire transfer evidence before and after ML's murder - was there any?

#4 new missing tidbit - can LE tell if the rest of ML's clothing burned away or not?

I could go on, but these are key issues and, depending on the answer, my theory would definitely change.

Maybe we should outline some basic theories that pretty much encompass everyone's ideas, e.g.:

1. ML was raped by CL, never had contact with him, was forced to write the note, get the ATM money, buy the ticket, go to his house.

2. ML was raped by CL, had second thoughts about reporting it, talked to CL occasionally on the phone, and was lured to his house with the promise of baby clothing.

Okay, I am just getting started, but I immediately want to throw in lots of options into each - like, in #2, was ML putting the baby up for adoption in El Paso, or moving to El Paso to have and keep her baby?

Maybe (sorry, thinking aloud) we should approach it another way, eg:

1. there was a rape vs there wasn't a rape (it was consensual).

2. ML was abducted vs ML went willingly to the house.

etc, etc

Maybe we could make somebody the receiver of anonymous theories sent to that person via pm. It would have to be somebody that would keep the identity of the poster anonymous.

It's going to be hard tho, because surely they have thought of everything we have?

Why laugh or cry at him asking us to submit theories? He clearly states to they would like to see if they have missed anything. I don't know about you but obviously he feels that, as a group, we have spent so much time and thought on this case and as he stated: may be some very original thoughts that we have not discussed.

I see this as a compliment to everyone who participates in the ongoing discussion of this case.

If you don't feel like doing a theory, no one is forcing you to give one, Scamp. And I say this with much respect as I do respect you as a poster!

I can only go with the fact that the jury in the Jensen case were the only ones that put the "Ledger Note" next to the "Letter" Sometmes you can't see the forest for the trees.

Nuttin, I can remember when I first started following crime boards, I believe it was the Westerfield trial IIRC, where the posters from a crime board were publicly thanked for their dedication and HELP on the case. I'm off to look for a link. :seeya: I think someone had a luncheon for those posters and one of the papers covered it.

I'll have to do some thinking and then put my own theyory on that thread. I've never actually clicked on it.

Perhaps if there are some early theories oin there that have now been rendered impossible or very unlikely based on later information, those can be left off the email sent to RS. Of course, there may be none but I wanted to throw that out there.

Well I think Captain Sutherland has already been reading this board and it wouldnt surprise me if the DA has had someone monitoring too.

I wll not mention the particular cases but I have been contacted more than once by LE, DA offices and family members of victims and they did so by reading my posts. They never posted on the board but they did read the posts written here.

So if CS wants theories ...well I say........why not?:)

It will be perfect for him to get the beliefs of others and things that we theorize may show them just where their weakness or strengths may lay.

How many times after the trial does the jury say.....we wish they had answered this or that. Our thoughts may show them what they thought was not that important may just turn out to be. I have seen in so many cases it seems to be something overlooked by the DA or LE that the jury really thought was important. Sometime the smallest piece of the puzzle can have the swaying power when it comes to BARD or NG.

Maybe CS doesn't want to overlook anything.

ITA, Maka.. we are missing too many of the key facts. Even just one or two of them would really help me focus my theories.

M theory might not be the best but i would like to see if i can help :

Cesar and Maria had an illicit relationship and just like any other relationships on their age, there are days that they fight and there are days that they are sweet.

Cesar held an early parenthood responsibilities. He got married and have a child on a very early age and when a jolly Maria started working for the Military , Cesar felt single again. They fell secretly for each other while Cesar promised Maria the whole world and maybe promised her that he'll divorce his wife.

She got pregnant and Cesar is still with his wife and not divorcing her. Cesar knew that his job is in jeopardy and he's paying mortgage as well. Maria is not happy that Cesar is still staying with his wife - They fought and Maria created a false rape allegations. Marine investigated the case and interviewed couple people who witnessed their affair and they have to come up with an idea that there is no rape as there is an on-going relationship between the two. But they have to do the process as the complaint was logged.

But then Maria and Cesar are back in each other's arm again secretly. Cesar convinced Maria to tell the Military that there isnt any rape and the baby isnt his so that they wont penalize Cesar. Maria did what Cesar told her .

On the other hand, Cesar and Christine was fighting about it. Maria is about to give birth to Cesar's first SON. Chrstine spent couple days either to her sister's house or his parent's house in Ohio with Abrianna. Christine told Cesar that she's leaving him and will not come back if he didnt do something about it.

Cesar thought Christine isnt coming back. He is making plans with Maria and on the 14th of December, they were suprised that Christine attended the party. A friend called them in advance to let them know about Christine being in the party. They both didnt come to the party anymore. Maria was upset and went to Cesar's house. They talked and Cesar told her that they will just go away and go to El Paso Texas. Cesar told Maria to buy the ticket first and he will follow so no one will notice that they are together. Cesar even showed Maria that he bought couple baby clothes to show Maria that he cared about their little baby. Maria agreed. They drove back to the house using Maria's car. Maria dropped Cesar off to the house but Cesar invited her to go inside. They started kissing and possibly starting to have sex when Christine arrived. A bloody crime happened next . Maria was possibly killed by Christine or Cesar.
