Tsk Tsk - What a waste of taxpayer's money to hire her back in the military IMO. Someone can defend her but i am not a fool to believe that this woman didnt do anything before or after the crime was done. IMO.

So what's the next thing we will see hitting the news? Christina is going to be based out of the country ? so that she and Cesar can live there happily ever after?

Good morning Babes, LTNS. I hope you are doing well.
Thanks for the news (I think) and I have mixed feelings on that one. I agree the child must be cared for and provided for, but like you I feel Christina is KNEE DEEP in this tragedy.
I surely hope your scenario is not what's in the works.

Christina was activated prior to all of this happening. She was mobilized for a period of 1 year. That year was up and she wanted to be augmented to active duty...meaning she wanted to stay. And as it has been posted before by a retired Marine, those packages usually take up to 6 months to be approved. So, it looks like all of this was being done prior to the murder happening.

Good morning, Babes, CANDYKISSES, and caejde!
I also feel that Christina is knee deep if not even moreso in this tragedy.
Now the heat is beginning to be on her in the media, the family's and Congressman's questions, and so forth. As it should have been in the very beginning from waiting to notify LE that she knew that Cesar had buried Maria's body. She knew it on the MORNING of Jan. 10th, 2007, and waited until the morning of Jan. 11th before taking the notes to LE. What is the meaning of Obstruction of Justice? This does not qualify?

It isn't about what we believe, it is what we can prove using forensic and investigative evidence.
Since she has not been charged with a crime, it is obvious that Law Enforcement has not been able to "prove" that she is guilty of anything in this case. She is entitled to carry on with her life and try to make the best of the situation.
Irregardless of our "beliefs" life ticks on and the essentials of life need to be met. CSL chose to enlist in the USMC Reserves and she was activated. Maybe it is as simple as that after she had spent a year on active duty she found out that she just couldnot settle into civilian life again...so she requested to become active duty. (I have a friend who did exactly that, after a year in Iraq and being wounded, he decided to make the USMC a career).
There is also another POSSIBILTY and that is that she and her husband had some problems and she was preparing just in case her marriage went south. Her child would need things that she just could not afford on a civilian job in this economy and being active duty would allow her more options. And it does take awhile once you request the transfer from reserve to active duty to have it approved. (Again, my friend went back to civilian life and it took him four months before he became active duty.)
The DA has already charged CAL with the crime, so obviously he must have enough evidence to get that indictment, but as of now the DA doesn't have enough evidence to indict CSL so why should she have her Constitutional rights restricted or denied? [/*]

Hi - I understand the constitutions but First - the crime just happened couple months ago ONLY. The investigations should continue on CESAR and HER as they both live on a property where the dead body was found. How did they know Cesar is still alive and Christina didnt kill him? or How did they come up that Cesar is the only guilty party here when they dont have the exact timeline of her death ( she died on the 14th or the 15th? )
IMO The military should make sure the investigation is finish and she must be cleared first before allowing her to return to active duty.
I understand she has to provide to her daughter but she's not the only person on this world who needs to provide to her daughter. IMO The military should not allow someone or anyone who is possibly involve in a crime to join them again not until the case is finish.
If after the crime was solved and she's clear then geesh she can come back anytime to Military. IMO

Hello Donna
LOL that's her constitutional rights!!!! - to wait and make her criminal husband leave the state before she'll take the notes to LE. :seeya:

Hi, Babes!
Well, I stick by what I am saying. Christina would have had to be stupid AND blind not to have known something horrific had happened in her home and that her husband was not quite himself. I have said from the outset that Christina could have done the right thing and notified LE of what CAL had told her about burying Maria and Gabriel's body. That in and of itself is a crime - to know about this and not report it until SHE decided to report it. Had she not allowed CAL to flee, I wouldn't be so hot on her case! Obstruction of Justice is what I say. Accessory After the Fact if she knowingly helped clean up blood in a crime scene.
Therefore, I stand by my statement.

early news said she quit the Military before - I didnt know SHE is STILL in the Military as Reservist and just switch to Active Duty recently.
If you are talking about evidence - There is a dead burned body on their backyard and people living on that house could be responsible for this and that should be enough to make her as ONE of the suspects of this crime. IMO Donna's post above is clearly a big point as well - Christina allowed her husband to flee.
