I have no idea how the DA is going to handle that, but at the moment I can't figure out how those accusations can come in & NOT hand the defense an appealable issue under the 6th amendment.
If what we have been told regarding the status of the rape allegations is accurate, it does not seem to have reached any sort of stage where Maria could have given testimony under oath & where Cesar's defense attorney(s) would have had any chance to confront & cross examine her testimony.
With those kinds of problems, I can't figure out how the MC will ever be able to prosecute the rape allegations without violating Cesar's 6th amendment rights.

The house at 903 was a rental, and so it was possible. I thought maybe the registration was a typo. I have not found a 902. it appears to be a lot that belongs to a house around the corner from gum branch. jmo

I remember you saying there was no 904 that it was either 903 or 905. Any 901 since it appears they are working on the odd numbers?

I messed up the 902...there is 901, 902, 903, 905, 907, 909, 911, 916, and 920. 904, 906, 908, 910 etc appear to be back yards to a subdivision off of gum branch. jmo

OCSD notified it's military counterpoint which was NCIS BUT no one notified ML's CE.

Wouldn't you think that NCIS would notify ML's Command Element right away? And not wait from Dec 19 upon their first notification until Dec 27?
OCSD contacted the Marines.. they (meaning the MC authorities) need to coordinate their inter-office communications, IMO. OCSD should not have to contact multiple agencies within the Marines.
And if anything comes of this case, then I hope communications within the MC would be improved.. specifically between NCIS and Command.

The MC reports that ML's CE (leadership) contacted ML's mother on December 27th and asked her for updates on her whereabouts. Her mother told them that her daughter was still missing and then notified the MC of the MPR. The CE then contacts OCSD and gets confirmation from them that the MPR exists. OCSD then asks the MC for MLs vehicle's description.
Wouldn't you think that OCSD would have already abtained ML's vehicle description sometime between the 19th when the MPR was initiated and the 27th when they asked the MC for the description?

It's early, so forgive me....but does this mean that a description of Maria's vehicle was not a part of the MPR?

Why try to place the blame on the Marine Corps? [/*]
Because in my opinion it was the marine corps who disregarded Mary Lauerbach's concern about her daughter's disappearance, it was the marine corps who failed to assist the local sheriff's department when they requested certain information, only responding after they showed up at their door with the victim's family and Sheriff Ed Brown contacted the Commander of the Camp. Because it was the marine corps who allowed a hostile environment to exist, after the victim's car was vandalized and she was punched in the face, and still did not take steps to protect the victim. Because it was the marine corps and their horrible judgement that laurean was not a threat to the woman who accused him of raping her and their stupidity in describing him as not a flight risk. IMO.

I'm not nuttin, but didn't think you'd mind if I put in my 2 cents regarding your first question.
In my mind I can see no way the rape case could go forward since there was no witness, or rape kit evidence to the alleged crime.
Unless CAL came forward saying he did so, then at this time there is nothing to go forward with IMO [/*]
I guess then, all ya have to do is murder the woman who accuses you of rape and it all goes away? Somehow, I doubt that. I agree with bkwits and nuttin, the accusation will come into the murder trial. IMO
