<snip> Police say Bennett came to Rochester to visit friends. His friends have been interviewed and say they don't know what has happened, said Thomas Donovan, an investigator with the Rochester Police Departments' major crimes unit.

"We're still tracking down any lead that we have," Donovan said.

Debbie-Ann Wilson said she knew her cousin Sasha was going out of town for a vacation, but initially didn't know Davis was coming to Rochester.

......

None of the articles state if the 2008 Hyundai was inoperatible, only that it was unoccupied.

If they had run out of gas or had a dead battery, maybe they were offered a ride by someone else.

I hate to think of the negative aspects, but people in the area need to be looking at someone that has appeared with a 4 month old and are passing the child off as theirs, a niece, a grandbaby....

None of these stories say whether or not the family ever made it to their friends in Rochester.

Were the friends expecting them? I would think so - usually a family of three doesn't just drop in unannounced expecting to stay the weekend.

If they were expected and the family didn't show, did the Rochester friends try to call them to find out where they were?

If they did make it to their friends, when did they leave?

I wonder what the last activity is on their cell phone (presuming they had one).

Kip- Thats what bothers me, they are not a family. In fact Jarib is married. So this isn't just a family that disappeared, this is 2 families. Makes me really believe foul play played a role in their disappearence..:(

Thanks - I had missed that. Confusing set of relationships - and not much information.

It is, and I have the same question, as to whether it's known if they ever made to their friends, Also, does Sasha have a boy-friend, or who the father of the baby is?

This is strange...they leave on Feb 15 to drive from NYC to Roch, which is about an 8 hour trip, could be less depending on which routes they take, so it would only be a day drive.

Nobody reports them missing until Feb. 22, 8 days later, especially with a baby???

and their car is found 5 days later, around Feb. 27.

As previously mentioned, I would think the people they were going to visit would have gotten worried that they hadn't shown up by the second day, but didn't report it until 8 days later. Maybe they really didn't know these folks were coming to see them.

I'm originally from the suburbs of Rochester and my brother still lives there. The city does have its fair share of crime, personally I wouldn't drive around at night anywhere in the city limits.

But from the pic the male looks pretty hefty and could probably put up a good fight? He's married...so it's possible these two just ran off together with the child but the fact that the car was abandoned doesn't really fit with that scenario. Doesn't say if there were any signs of a struggle.

If they ran off together, they might have left the car so it couldn't be traced by the license plate, and could have taken a bus/train, because you don't need to show your ID to take them. Everything is possible, and I wonder where the father of the baby is (unless it's Jarib's).

yeah, I'd like to know that to...if he's married, what is their relationship. I can't imagine his wife would just let him go off on a trip with another woman. I would think the father of the baby (if it isn't hm) would be coming forward, but you never know, he might be completely out of the picture.

It would be nice to have more information. I'm going to go on the local newspaper website and see what I can find.

from Rochester Democrat & Chronicle...not much new, family doesn't seem to be giving up much in terms of relationship information...but it was Bennett who was coming to Roch to visit friends, not her.

Davis is 5 feet 6 inches tall and 130 pounds. Bennett is 5 feet 11 inches tall and 230 pounds.

On Saturday, Hardy, 46, a Bronx resident, traveled several hours to Rochester with Sasha's cousin Debbie-Ann Wilson, and about 14 other friends and relatives.

The group canvassed the city looking for information. They distributed fliers along Genesee and Bartlett streets and Jefferson Avenue asking for help. The family is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information in the case.

Additionally, Crimestoppers is offering up to $5,000 in reward money.

"We gave out (fliers) all over," Hardy said. "Some (people) said they would be praying."

Police say Bennett came to Rochester to visit friends.

"I'm just hoping that they come back alive," she said. "We just need some closure."

This is the second time the group has come to Rochester looking for clues, and they plan to continually visit the area until Davis, her infant and Bennett are found.
