Give information about the other guy in the Lowe's video, confirms that the crowbar is supposed to be the murder weapon and that Laurean's return to US authorities was a goodwill gesture on the Mexican governments part since Pres. Obama was visiting.

Direct link to the gag order: http://video.onset.freedom.com/jdn/kixdjs-gagorder430090001.pdf

In short, the gag order states: The order states that to ensure Laurean's right to a fair trial, prosecutors, law enforcement officials and Laurean's defense attorney are not to release any information to the news media or the public that would "have a substantial likelihood of materially prejudicing an adjudicative proceeding in the matter."

That information includes Laurean's background, the results of any tests or nature of any physical evidence, opinions about Laurean's guilt or innocence, and any other information that would prejudice a trial, according to the order signed by Senior Resident Onslow County Superior Court Judge Charles Henry.

Dick McNeil's response: McNeil told The Daily News he thinks the order is redundent.

"I am already required to follow the Rules of Professinal Conduct," he said. "I am concenred that the state has talked about the facts in the case for 16 months and now I am told not to."

I had a feeling this was coming...so on to the trial and Laurean's next court appearance is still scheduled for 5/18/09.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/05/16/marine.slaying/index.html

The Marine accused of killing Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach, who was more than eight months pregnant, was not the father of her unborn child, a law enforcement source close to the murder investigation said Saturday.

Marine Cpl. Cesar Laurean, 22, who is being held on a murder charge, is scheduled for arraignment in June.

The source, who has seen a report completed earlier this month by the Defense Department's Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, said Cpl. Cesar Laurean's DNA does not match that of the unborn child, who also died.

Laurean and Lauterbach were stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Laurean and Lauterbach were stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. OH my wonder who the baby;s father is? Why was Lauterbach lieing to him? I bet someone is really scared right now afraid his name will come out as being the baby;s father. This case is so strange. I will be glad when they have a trial.jmho:wub:
