I think I saw reference to Family search efforts going on and new contact info.. but I'll be darned if I can find it in the Daily Thread Discussions.

So Please limit posts here to information related to the search efforts. Whether known items or questions on how to help. Whether TES is coordinating, the family or LE -- I hope that any info posted here may be of assistance and that this link makes it to who is coordinating the searches.

What is the contact phone # for volunteering yourself, equipment, food or other items?

When and where is the search occurring and where do you check in at?

What type of people are needed... for what tasks.. Command center staff, walking searchers, water searchers, Certified Search and Rescue people (SAR's)

How old do you have to be to help in doing what? Can I bring the family dog for the search?
What items / equipment may be needed ..food water, paper goods, types of ATV's, Boat's, transportation for searchers etc.

Money Donations ... are fine but to who and how ? Can you call a local business and arrange for them to provide something even if you are in ALASKA? I bet you can.

When is it needed? Yes this is THE BIGGIE...believe it or not !!

If you have too much of anything at the given time it can be problem ( If you hit the Lotto tonight I'd bet you would be happy but will have problems too )

Whoever is coordinating searches has to be able to utilize and not waste any donations of effort or items or they have the problem of dealing with what is left over if not needed at that time.

You might be surprised by what can be done / thru internet boards if people know where to go to find / ask stuff w/o wading thru pages & pages of stuff.

Sorry If I'm a cranky OldFart tonight http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c314/OldF/?action=view&current=oldfart.jpg

But I want Stacy found 1st.. then other things can happen !!
JMO of course

If they publish a phone number then people throughout the country will call with all kinds of questions. Someone has to answer those calls. If someone truely wants to help he/she can contact the church and arrange for a donation. Water and money are welcome on almost any search.

If you want to search just show up. Cury-us Coyote gave all the information you need other than Texas EquuSearch requires adults 18-years-old for the search teams, but younger folks can always help out in the search center or by hanging flyers.

If you are the Robert Cooke from www.dailytexanonline.com/media/storage/paper410/news/2002/04/29/News/Rachel.Cookes.Parents.Cope.With.Her.Absence-501778.shtml My heart goes out to you and all the other family's that still have missing loved ones. :rose:

Yes I can only guess at the number of and types of calls that would be received, most good meaning but others too. The chruch does not want to handle calls related to Stacy's search (see above post) but I'll bet they are being swamped with calls

Cury-us Coyte
Thanks for that link... Not sure who is the owner (family or not) but not much more infor there

All any us can do is attempt to help in some way
Thanks

http://www.findstacypeterson.com/searchinfo.php [/*] This is just a suggestion but imo one to be taken seriously. That is to start searching for a storage rental place that you put your own belongings in and you have the only key. If they can find out if he rented one then maybe they will find Stacy there. Remember that 50 gallon drum? where is it? whats in it? Why don't they think about storage within a 25 mi. radious first and extend it if necessary to the next 25 mi.'s He was too smart and too cocky with his answers not to have done something like that. Finding the right storage units may be hard but with so many people in that area wanting to help it can be done. At least suggest it if you arein contact with anyone connected to this search. Sorry, I don't mean to go on and on but I am really excited with this idea.

:rose: for Stacy
