A Sacramento woman is missing and her disappearance is mysterious at best.

Bao Sun is 38 years old and has not been seen since September 7. She told her soon-to-be ex-husband that night she was going out to meet her boyfriend to pick up money the boyfriend owed Bao. When Bao did not return home, her husband, Dennis Yen, went looking for her.

A few days later he discovered her car in the parking lot of the former Florin Mall. Police searched the vehicle Wednesday night at the couple's home.

Yen fears the worst because her family hasn't heard from her. "She would call her son no matter where she is," Yen said. "And, she would call her family, her dad's birthday, her friend Shirley, no matter who she with or where she is."

Last week, a stranger showed up at Yen's home with Bao's driver license and a photo of Bao and Yen's 7-year-old son. Yen says Bao always kept that photo with her. He says the strange woman claims the items were mailed to her by the post office.

A letter that supposedly came with the items says they were discovered loose inside a mailbox.

Bao is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds, has brown hair and eyes and speaks Chinese. Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies are asking anyone with information of her location to call investigators at (916) 874-5115.

I don't know what the deal is with those SacBee articles. If you go to news.google.com and put Bao Sun into the search, you can read them or just use this link

From the Sacramento Sheriff's Department - At Risk Missing Person Bao Sun

At Risk Missing Person

Bao SunThe Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 38-year old Bao Sun. Sun was originally reported missing from her residence in the 7600 block of Blackhawk Drive, by her husband, on September 12, 2007. At that time it was determined her case did not meet the criteria necessary to be categorized as an “at risk” missing person.

Since that time the vehicle Sun was driving when she left home, along with other personal items, have been recovered. The recovery of these items now lead investigators to believe Sun may be at risk.

Sun is a Chinese female, 5’-07” tall, weighing 110 pounds. She has shoulder-length brown hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a checkered long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
If anyone has seen, or knows the whereabouts of, Bao Sun please contact the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department at (916) 874-5115.

Sergeant Tim Curran,
Sheriff's Spokesman

I live not far from here, maybe about 30-40 miles. I have only heard this on the news once, night before last. I wonder if the "lover" has been questioned, did she ever meet up with him? If so where was she going from there?

Plus the fact that LE searched the car at their residence. Which means the husband moved it and had possession before the search. I wonder if the car was recently cleaned?
