SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Authorities in southern Utah are searching for a man who has been missing since Monday. Christopher Robin Coan, 18, was last seen leaving his job at a Subway sandwich shop in Enoch, Iron County, Monday evening, police said.
"He was last seen by his manager leaving the store," Enoch police detective Jackson Ames said. "This is completely out of character for him."
Coan was reported missing by his girlfriend on Tuesday. There has been no bank activity and authorities are beginning to worry Coan may have met with foul play. Enoch police contacted the FBI for assistance in the case.
An airplane has been searching the high-country desert around Cedar City and Enoch for any sign of Coan's SUV, a 1994 red and silver-colored Chevrolet S-10 Blazer with a temporary tag. Police said the SUV has three stickers in the back. One says "Jerry Bear," another says "The Wizz cartoon," and the third says "Beatles."
"We've got around 100 people or so that have just gone out and are pretty much going to canvass the area," Ames said. "Hopefully, we can find him."
Coan is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds, with blue eyes and blond, floppy hair. He was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and black corduroy pants.

Teen Missing in Enoch
(KUTV) A teen is missing in Enoch and police think that the disappearance is suspicious.
Chris Coan was last seen leaving work Monday night at Subway. Police say he has no wallet and is driving an SUV with limited gas.
Coan reportedly had a rough night at work and has emotional problems. He was last seen Monday.
Coan's father rented a plane to look for the teen's SUV. So far nothing has been found.
The FBI was asked to help provide a personality profile of the missing teen and the family contacted other relatives and friends for help in the search.

Just wanted to give a little insight here:
Enoch is a VERY small town in southern Utah. The last time I was there (1993ish), they didn't even have a grocery store and you had to drive into Cedar City to do your shopping. Cedar City is pretty small itself but much larger than Enoch.
Also, Park City is in the mountains in Northern Utah, About an hour to two hours away from Salt Lake City. If Coan drove to Park City from Enoch, it's about a 7 hour drive or more.

Does the head trauma mean he doesn't know who he is?

Any other news from the spotting of his truck?
His poor family must be worried sick. Prayers his way. [/*]
208 area code turned out to be nothing, a phone number of a lady who left her purse at the Subway:

I'm crying as I'm typing, so please overlook all typos...I'm really not all here.
Our son, who turned 18 last month, has been missing now for 76 hours. He went to work Monday, left work and no one has heard from him nor seen him since. He wasn't having any problems with us, Sunday we all were together and had a great time. He wasn't having any problems with his girlfriend. He did have a bad day at work and we are guessing he went off on a drive too cool down, but we really don't know. He didn't say anything to anybody about where he was going. He was in a hurry to get to work that day and left his wallet home. So he has no money on him nor any access to money. We were able to get into his bank account today and there hasn't been any unusual activity in the last month. We have called everyone he knows and no one knows anything. His girlfriend has called everyone she can think of too.
This is so out of character for him. He has never done anything like this before.
The police are involved and doing all they can. Two different aerial searches were done today and tomorrow there is a ground search going on with volunteers and the police department. He has been listed as a missing person in all 50 states along with a description of his blazer. The police department made up fliers for us to put around town. The top of it says "Missing Person, Suspicious Circumstances".
This is so unreal. This is something that happens on TV, not in real life. The roller coaster of emotions is beyond imagination. The possibilities of what has happened to him and where he might be are endless. To the East of us is a canyon, to the West is desert hills. He could be anywhere. Not knowing anything is the worst.
My husband and our other children are hitting their limits too. Our home is crazy is an understatement. We have had lots of friends and family offer love and support. Meals have been brought in for three days. Our phones are ringing off the hook with well wishers and everyone wondering what they can do.
I'm sorry for going on and on, I just want to cover all the bases, but I'm sure I've missed some things.
Prayers are definitely welcome.
Mostly I'm still in shock. I'm not sure I'll be back on the site for a while. I will post as soon as we know anything.
Please everyone take care, and go hug your kids...

I tried uploading the flier but it didn't happen, I'm not sure why.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It does help to know that people care.
EDIT: I took a picture of the flier and added it to my pictures

The psychics' opinions are that Chris Coan is in northern New Mexico and may possibly be tied up in a dark area, Dave Coan said.
Another recent lead indicated that Chris Coan might have been seen in a restaurant on the Navajo Nation near the Four Corners area, Dave Coan said.
A few of the restaurant employees said they saw a young man that looked similar to the picture of Chris Coan on a missing person flier.
The young man entered the restaurant with three other young men around the same age with an older man who bought the group breakfast with a credit card, Dave Coan said.
However, the group's suspicious behavior is what alerted a few of the restaurant's employees, he said.
"No one in the group said a word throughout the entire breakfast," he said. "They thought that was suspicious, and it goes along with the idea of a possible abduction."
Because the incident took place on Navajo Nation, it has been difficult to get officials to cooperate, Dave Coan said.

What is the governor talking about?
Former Governor of California Pat Brown said: "Eventually people will even forget a serial killer is on the loose. Fear fades away and we go on with our lives."

I took this to mean that people forget things easily after time. There is no actual serial killer on the loose he is referring to. If serial killers who instill deep fear in us can be forgotten though they've never been caught, a missing person can easily be forgotten. In other words, it's important to keep the name of the missing person out there so people can't forget.
