George Whitter was last seen Aug. 30 leaving the House of Rock bar in south St. Louis with his friend, Randy Greenman, 39. A hunter discovered Greenman's remains in late September not far from a road in a subdivision under construction near Highway A northwest of Festus.

I am so glad that there are enough of us on here to keep Amanda and Hayden's thread alive. They will be found, and there is no statute of limitations on murder, and Hayden was far enough along to be considered another life, so it could end up being murder x2 when it does finally happen.

I too hurt for Amanda's daughter. Losing one parent is bad enough, but to be lose both mom and dad is beyond what anyone should ever have to endure, especially a child.

Good question. I find it interesting that they haven't released his cause of death. I'm not saying he has anything to do with Amanda's disappearance but I wonder how he died and how their relationship was. Was it an amicable divorce?

Amanda's daughter is being raised by her parents, Bertha and Hubert, as far as I know. It is so sad for Amanda's little girl, losing her mom and her dad in such a short amount of time.

As far as Amanda's ex (who passed away) being involved in her disappearance; there is an extremely low probablity of that.

The facts, as we know them, are that Amanda went to a holiday party in December 2004 and became pregnant from an encounter with Bryan Westfall. Bryan said that he does not know if he was the father but he has not denied the encounter. Amanda's parents and friends (who know her better than any of us) have stood by their comments that Bryan, was indeed, Hayden's father.

At the time of the encounter between Bryan and Amanda, Bryan had a long-term girlfriend named Stephanie. According to a source back home (I'm originally from the area) - they are still very much together.

Anyway, fast-forward almost nine months (during Amanda's pregnancy, there was no contact between Amanda and Bryan) - Bryan calls Amanda right before her due date in August and asks her to meet him at the Jefferson County Civic Center in Hillsboro, MO. She had apparently called him the week before to discuss the child and give him a last chance to be involved. I want to take a moment right now and state that Amanda was perfectly capable of taking care of her new baby son and exisiting daughter without any help from Bryan Westfall.

So, being the sweet person that she is, Amanda agrees to meet with him on August 15, 2005. A half-hour before the meeting with Westfall, Jones stopped at a Walgreens store in Festus. She was seen in videos taken by store surveillance cameras.

Amanda obviously made it to the Civic Center. Her abandoned car was there unlocked. There was no purse, keys or cell phone inside. Bryan Westfall volunteered at the Civic Center for about four years. He was employed as a computer instructor at Jefferson College; interestingly enough, his contract was not renewed in May 2006.

On 8/15/05, Bryan Westfall was at the Civic Center doing volunteer work because of a horse show that was held at the center. He told police that he spoke to Amanda briefly in the parking lot for about an hour. Then said he saw her a few hours later, still in the parking lot, talking on her cell phone. Cell phone records show that the last time she used her phone was at at 1 p.m. when she spoke with a relative. Maybe Bryan Westfall can't tell time...

Bryan Westfall did not waste any time lawyering up and, surprisingly enough, neither did his girlfriend Stephanie. Now, I am not saying because someone retains an attorney, they are guilty. I know that law enforcement is not without error. But, considering the circumstances, I believe Bryan Westfall hired counsel because he has every reason to believe he will eventually be charged with a crime.

Bryan Westfall has changed his story from not going to lunch, to he took Amanda to lunch, to he last saw her talking on her phone for 3 hours (phone records dispute that statement). I believe that he cannot keep his story straight because he is hiding something....something like murder.

At the beginning, law enforcement did consider him a person of interest and searched two properties he owned or was connected with, one being a farm. But, with no evidence and no Amanda....nothing has moved forward on this case.

Although I try to help on any case that I can....this one has really stuck in my heart; I come from that area and I guess I felt a lot of compassion for her, her daughter and her family.

I will always have hope that somewhere, at any moment, a piece of evidence will be found or an eye witness that remembers something...anything....will come forward and Amanda's family will get the answers they deserve....and one small-minded, devious, *@stard will get what's coming to him...

I'm really glad to hear that Amanda's parents more then likely have the little girl. I hope that raising her helps then to heal from the loss of Amanda and baby boy. I know they will raise her to be just as nice a person as her mother was.

Amanda and her disappearance has stayed in my heart too. She seemed like such a nice person. She worked and was raising her daughter...minding her own business and not asking for a thing from that monster Bryan. She would have done fine with two children. I know they were all looking forward to the birth of that little baby.

I remember Amanda's parents saying that Amanda and her ex got along really well. That is probably why he was never a suspect. We know who it was that saw Amanda last and also who murdered her and the baby. I wish she could haunt him and just drive him crazy until he turned himself in! I wonder if he ever has nightmares? I know that I sure would. Glad his contract wasn't renewed. I'll bet it had something to do with him being a suspect in a murder. I hope so anyway. Wonder what he is doing for work now? Any way you can find out?

Still can't figure out why the girlfriend thought she needed an attorney. Sounds really strange to me. If she wasn't with him what did she have to worry about? I think she knows what happened or she was there and helped. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

I think about Amanda often too. Some friends and I took a trip from Washington state to Mass in November. Coming back we drove by Amanda's city or the one that she had lived in and I wanted so bad to stop and look for her. Just broke my heart thinking I was that close...on the freeway...to where she was from. Really brought it home to me.

It's hard to believe that it has almost been 3 years since she disappeared. Think how big little Hayden would be now. I'm sure her family think of it all of the time. I feel so bad for them.

Someday the killer or killers will pay for this. If not in this life then when they meet their maker face to face.

The case is ice-cold...only a chance will help bring justice to Amanda and Hayden. A chance that someone saw something and will remember - a chance that someone stubbles upon evidence - or (as hard as it is to say this - it is something I have felt from the beginning) that someone finds her body.

Our last hope is that 'you-know-who' finally has an attack of doing the right thing and confesses but I think it will be a cold day in hell before that happens.

Nope, our friend is living his life - moving right along and hoping this whole thing goes away. Which, for the most part, it has. But as long as we keep Amanda's story alive and as long as we keep reaching out to the St. Louis media (which I do every time someone else in the area disappears or for the anniversary of Amanda's disappearance) - I hope it will, at the very least, make him uncomfortable - make him look over his shoulder - wondering when he will finally be caught. I don't look for Westfall to ever turn himself in. I too want justice in my lifetime. I want to see him in handcuffs and to know that Amanda and Hayden have received justice plus her family.

Just how does a person get rid of someone who is big and pregnant? There is no way that Westfall could have gotten rid of the body by himself. She was nearly due to deliver and probably really big. Westfall didn't look like that big of a guy to me. I would think he had the help of another man.

I don't know how his girlfriend can be so blind. I wouldn't turn my back if it was me. If she hasn't figured out that he is a killer then she is pretty darn dumb. Or she knows because she was a part of it all.

I wish there was something that we could do to break this case. I don't live anywhere near Amanda's but that is probably a good thing!! I would probably have already spray painted KILLER on the side of someone's car and gone to jail for it!!

You would think that a 9-month pregnant woman disappearing under suspicious circumstances would create national press (um..Laci Peterson) but in Amanda's case - it was hard to get even the local St. Louis Post Dispatch to do much.

I have many theories on local LE...but I think it may come down to the fact that Amanda was not as "media-genic" as other women (think Natalie Holloway, Laci). I know it sounds sick - and believe me I hate it - but I work in the media and 'pretty' wins everytime. Not that I don't think Amanda is a beautiful person - but I think you all know what I mean.

I have seen it time and time again - the American media grabs onto something obsessively and lets other things slide right by. It's all about ratings....not about truly saving or helping anyone. MOO!

I'm a little confused on a couple things and I don't want to presume anything so I will ask:

1. The red car couple. Westfall says that he didn't know them. Yet they come to HIM about wanting to adopt Amanda's baby? A week before she was due? ummmm okay.

2. He claims it is impossible for him to be the father of the baby. Yet he is concerned enough about the possibility of fatherhood the week before due date to make plans to meet with Amanda. If he truly believed he wasn't the father, why would he waste his time meeting with Amanda? Wouldn't he just say , "Listen, Amanda, after the baby is born I will pay for a DNA test to put this to rest."

3. That link said that he was a volunteer at the Civic Center. So he woulnd't have to have proof(ie time clock) of where he was during the crucial time of Amanda's visit. Has anybody stepped forward to say, "yes, Westfall was with me that day. We were working on such and such together almost all day"?

I know we don't live in a perfect world, infact it seems to get colder and meaner every year (maybe that is just my older age setting in:) ) ---but if Westfall did this to Amanda and Hayden, he chose murder instead of just letting them live their lives. I wonder how people like Westfall can live with themselves. How does he shave in the mirror every morning and look himself in the eyes? It is beyond my imagination. I'm wondering about the girlfriend too.

Westfall got so tangled up in lies that if LE don't suspect him then something is really wrong. I think they do but they have to find some evidence. I would like to know if Westfall drove a truck then and if his cell phone records were ever checked out. I suppose LE couldn't get a warrent to check out his vehice or phone records. I think he must have called someone after the murder. Amanda was big and pregnant and it just seems to me that he would have had to call someone to help get rid of her. I remember seeing a pic of him and he wasn't a big guy. Maybe the girlfriend helped but unless she is a big strong girl she probably wouldn't have been much help.

I have followed Amanda's case from day one and I just want to scream of frustration because they haven't arrested Westfall. I hate for him to get away with murder just because he disn't want to pay child support. How dare he snuff out the life of a wonderful woman and mother and a tiny baby that never got to open his eves to see his mama and sister. I just pray somehow he gets caught. He has damaged a lot of people through his selfish actions and there are two parents and a sister who need to know where Amanda and Hayden are so they can bring them home and begin healing.

On that one link to 'Ramblings from the reservation' there is a picture of Amanda and then another picture beside hers of a man. Is that him? If it is then he isn't anything like I expected.

I'm with you, Bobbisangel, this sounds like a case where a man didn't want to pay child support or something. I can't even think of a strong enough word to describe this. When another human does something so horrifying to another - what words can you use - no words are evil enough to describe it.

Does anyone know if Westfall and his properties are still being investigated? Does he have alot of clout in that area, where he really doesn't have to worry about being on their radar?

Now that I know about Amanda's story - I don't want to let her be lost among all of these names of missing people. What all can I do? Please let me know.

I have heard that his father is retired from one of the highest elected political positions in St. Louis County Govt. The family has lots of property in Jefferson Co. and can probably afford good legal counsel. There are many places to hide bodies in Jefferson Co, especially if you have lots of property. I don't think LE has enough information to obtain a search warrant for the property.

I don't know what he looks like, but some members of the Civic Club where Amanda was last seen with him say he considers himself a "lady's man" and was involved with several females at Jefferson College where he worked. I bet he really gloats to himself because LE has not been able to tie him to this case (if he did it).

I have always wondered if the girl friend was hidden in the back seat and had something that would have put her to sleep and then they took her somewhere to finish the job and hide the body.

Intersting information, thank you for posting. Though, the info you gave leaves me feeling pretty sure Westfall will get away with murder.
It seems as if Daddy's position might help Westfall in many ways. How sad for Amanda's family.

I have to question why an innocent person would not allow LE to do a thorough search of property without a search warrent. If there is nothing to hide, why would you not allow it? If a person went missing in my area and the LE felt that they might gain some information from searching my property - I would welcome them. But then I have nothing to hide.

If Westfall's girlfriend was involved in anyway - all I can say is I hope and pray she never gets pregnant. All the more humanity that was shown for little Hayden pretty much sums up the kind of woman she is (if involved)

I also have to wonder if Westfall has been sighing with relief because Amanda did not get media attention.

Westfall, if you have nothing to hide, let them search all of the properties connected to you. Wouldn't you want to put an end to all of this speculation? Wouldn't you at least want to clear your name?

More PhotosHILLSBORO — No new leads have been generated recently in the disappearance of Amanda Jones.

Jones, nine months pregnant at the time, disappeared from Jefferson County on Aug. 14, 2005. She’s been missing for 880 days.

Jefferson County Lt. Tommy Wright, who maintains the MySpace page dedicated to finding Jones, said the detective bureau talks about the case and strategies on a daily basis but there have been no new leads.

The most recent post at http://www.myspace.com/findingamandajones is from Wright. It states, “Another Christmas has come and gone. The third Christmas that (your) mom and dad have spent without you. Another Christmas in which your beautiful daughter looks out the window and wonders why hasn’t mommy come home.

The last known person to have seen her was Bryan Lee Westfall, who her family says was the father of the unborn baby who she planned to name Hayden Lucas.

Her mother, Bertha Propst of Festus, said her daughter received a phone call from Westfall the morning of Aug. 14, 2005, requesting a meeting at 1 p.m. at the Hillsboro Civic Center, where the two had met and he volunteered.

Bertha has said her daughter just wanted to know if Westfall wanted to have anything to do with raising her son.

The divorced mother who worked as a loan administrator at Eagle Bank in Pevely went to Calvary Assembly of God Church in Festus that morning. She was at the church from about 9:30 to noon. She left her then 4-year-old daughter with her parents and stopped in at the Walgreens store in Festus before meeting Westfall at the Hillsboro Civic Center.

Her parents, Bertha and Hubert — who were born and raised in Park Hills — and friends called Westfall when she didn’t return.

Bertha said they got three stories. The first was that the two had lunch and he left her at 5 p.m. The last story was that they spoke at the civic center and he left her at 2 p.m. He said he drove by at 5 p.m. and she was still there talking on her cell phone.

The Propst family called the sheriff's department at about 9 that night to report her missing. Later on, her car was found unlocked in the parking lot, with her purse inside.

Police have never called Westfall a suspect and say he worked with police through his attorney. His girlfriend has reportedly talked to police through her attorney, as well. Police have searched the fairgrounds, as well as Westfall's property.

The family believes Westfall knows more than he is sharing with police. They know the last time she used her cell phone was between 1 and 2 p.m. that day.

Wright said investigators can reasonably conclude that at her stage in her pregnancy, she was not going to walk very far. She also suffered from Grave's Disease, a thyroid condition.

Wright has said investigators suspect foul play, but there is no physical evidence to say that a crime has been committed.

Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 636-797-5000. A $100,000 reward has been offered by a philanthropist from Philadelphia for information that solves the case.

Police describe Jones as 5-foot-8 and about 220 pounds. She has blue eyes, brown hair with blond highlights, and a dolphin tattoo on her left upper torso. She was last seen wearing a pink sleeveless shirt, a pink- and white-flowered skirt and pink sandals.

Family members and police are hoping someone will share one last bit of information that will break the case.

Somewhere I read where Westfall let LE have a guided search (by him and him and either his Mom or Dad) on parts of the property that he picked for them. I know I read that in one of these threads. I will have to go back and search for it -- I know it is there.

That is another strange thing about this case. Why would she need a lawyer? With Westfall's dad being a higher up in the political scene in that area, maybe he had something to do with them both getting a lawyer. The Dad had to realize it looked very bad for both of them. I think it is just sickening when a person who is suspected of murdering a pregnant woman has relatives who have enough clot to cover a murder! What kind of person is willing to do that anyway? I don't care who the suspect is...son or daughter it is WRONG. If my son was suspected of murdering someone no way would I ever cover for him or do anything until I knew all of the facts. If he murdered his wife...the other of my grandchildren I might not ever want to look at him again.

I just wonder if Westfalls father didn't pull all of the strings he could get ahold of. You know how politicians are...most of them are crooked as a snake otherwise they don't make it in that field.

Hi everyone. I think of Amanda and Hayden so often, and I am so impressed that others still do the same. As I have said before, Hillsboro is about 75 miles north of where I live, so this one has always hit close to home for me. I am ashamed to say that not many speak of it anymore. It's like Amanda is gone, and that seems to be ok to some.

Especially for all the people that might know something but do not go to these forums or keep up. Even if the update is no news. Could be on every day after the news. I wish Greta or Nancy or someone like that would just focus their entire show on missing persons.....and provide updates, etc. Whether anyone likes them or not, Greta and Nancy do a lot of good through their shows when they discuss these types of things....helps bring awareness to the public, and helps bring in tips.

I am so glad you posted this link!! Thank you so much. Posters like me who came into Amanda's case late appreciate it. Many of the news articles that were linked in the beginning of this thread don't work anymore. I haven't had time to read through it yet, but will very soon.

So much information about Westfall there!! - His brother is a former State Trooper, now a private investigator/consultant. - Westfall's farm is 300 acres - Westfall's girlfriend hired a lawyer as early as August 21, 2005 (what? That's only 5 -6 days after Amanda disappeared!) Many more details there - should have taken notes while reading!



So, Westfalls's dad is a political big-wig in the area. His brother is a former State Trooper. It's now wonder that he has gotten away with this, so far. Will Amanda and Hayden ever get justice? I pray that they will.

What can possibly be done to help? If the powers that be can look at themselves in the mirror everyday without a twinge of guilt for letting Westfall get away with this - - and Westfall hasn't confessed because of the guilty nightmares he SHOULD be having? What can be done?

Sadly, its the ratings of the moment that drive NG and GVS and a few others.... Right now, its Caylee Anthony's story. We have seen super coverage on a few of our missing children and a few adults too. But for Amanda Jones, Jaliek Rainwalker and hundreds of others - a smidgen or next to nothing.

I've been told that there was construction going on by the place where Amanda disappeared. Some are wondering if he didn't just dump her somewhere in the middle of the construction where she wouldn't be seen but just be covered over and never found. I wonder in LE even thought of the construction.

I know the town Amanda came from was small and the police department is probably small and without a lot of resources. I wish they would call in Tim Miller and Co with all of their great tech equipment and go over the area where the construction took place. Think how easy it would have been for that monster to just get rid of Amanda right there. I still think he had help getting rid of the body though because I doubt that he could have carried her as she was big and pregnant. She would have been dead weight. He doesn't look like a very big guy. I wonder how big and strong his girlfriend is. There probably wasn't a lot of activity around that Civic place at certain times of the day and evening.

There has been absolutely nothing on this case and we are coming up to YEAR 4 - Year 4??? Can you believe it. Nothing, no clue, she just vanished and Bryan walks free....

No one seems to want to take on another look. Last year we tried to petition all newspapers and radio stations in the area, nothing.

Its as if this is a do not touch case.

Just got back from a vacation in Texas to celebrate my big 50 (8/16)
I toasted Amanda and Hayden and as the sun set on Lake Travis, I said a prayer that her family and the world will get answers

Dear Bryan,

What did you do on Saturday night? Did you maybe have a bbq with family, or friends? Did go to the lake for the day, laughing, swimming, enjoying the sunshine on your face? Did you go do some back to school shopping, eat at a nice restaurant, watch a movie?

Amanda would have loved to have been doing those things. With her 2 adorable children. She'd be 30 right now, with her wonderful kids, and her whole life ahead of her. Halloween costumes, Christmas presents, birthday parties - all those great moments with her babies.

What did you do on Saturday? Did you know it was the 4th anniversary of the day Amanda was taken from this world? Did you worry about if she'll be found one day? Did you cry for your unborn son and the life that was taken from him? Did you feel completely guilt ridden? Was August 15th just another day to you, or is it a hard day for you to get through, as hard as it is for Amanda's parents and daughter?

The day will come....

The baby was not a beautiful human being in his eyes. I can only imagine what went through his head that day.

The pre meditation of it all. NO feelings, No thought for her, for the baby, for her daughter, for her family, for the friends, coworkers and extended family who love her and were looking forward to the birth, the birthdays, the baptism, the Hallowen parties, Christmas parties and more. There is not any of this for Amanda and Hayden. All there is are unanswered questions. Where are they? Why?

Then there is Bryan Westfall who holds in his grinch-like heart a deep dark secret that must be causing ugly ulcers and painful feelings in his swiss-cheesed holed heart. Evil incarnate fer sure!!!!!
No Heart, conscience... nothing. no feelings what so ever for this missing woman and her child. Under rug swept. Wash hands clean of this.

And there is that girlfriend WHO HE CHEATED ON WITH AMANDA JONES THAT NIGHT. I bet there was more - once a cheater, always a cheater. Why are you still with him? You MUST BE SKEERED OF THAT MAN.
Sorry guys, this burns me up. This is a case that I will pray for as long as it takes
